Time to put Caleb in cotton wool and get him ready for a massive pre-season.

I don't think we have fully reverted back, but we have definitely been tinkering with a few things. Based on media reports we are into players like Houston & Cummings, so we are obviously trying to continue to evolve our ability to rebound off D50.

Pretty sure that is what we have been working on all year but haven't been able to perfect it.... yet.

Well Smith is out of contract this year so we don't have to continue with him on our list for the foreseeable future? Gus, Brown and Schache will all be off the list come next year so that will give us flexibility.

Given we are likely to have a top 10 pick this year I hope we don’t use it on Houston. We can get a gun mid for that pick. I’d be hopefully taking Cummings as a free agent instead. Guessing we will also look at a decent back up ruck option. Reidy from Freo. Bryan from bombers. Anyone else a potential option?

I was angry last night but have calmed down now and accept that the performance is just where we are at and we just need to look at small wins. I do hope the FD are realists and if we have players that will need surgery in the off-season get them in now so we are ready to go day 1 of preseason. We aren’t winning a flag this year, but no reason we can’t do it next year with a fit list.

I don't think we are easy to deal with, so much as we are happy to pay fair value for a player without haggling over small things.

The issue is Dan Houston is contracted, whereas Jacko wasn't. If he is hellbent on leaving then often a club will eventually get the deal done, but there will e a fair bit of haggling in this one I'd say.

He's a mate of mine and is nothing like Sam McClure. He is a genuienly good journo who always triple checks his info and doesn't make outlandish claims
