Keidean Coleman is apparently out this week which is handy given his speed and class off half back.

Considering we had 4 the last game I disagree.

Death Riding Fremantle 2023 - Feathered Cap Edition
DistrACTION Jackson replied to adonski's topic in Melbourne Demons
If North get up this weekend in Perth I'll start reading about the top 5 prospects in the upcoming draft... -
100% agree. Give McVee the job. I'm backing him in.
-
Only one I can remember was the Viney one when Tom Lynch was knocked out and he got off. That was ridiculous because he was contesting the ball and braced for impact.
-
Part of the issue is there is one person making the decision. There should be 3 MROs and they discuss each event and if they aren't unanimous can vote on the outcome.
-
100%. And the Freo fans have a huge chip on their shoulders because of how poor they have been for the majority of their existence and Eagles fans remind them every week. You could see exactly how it would go when they had jumpers with 'Jackson' on them at our game there last year. Ridiculous.

What are you talking about? I've literally said I was fine with Kozzy's ban but thought Buddy should get 2 as well given the player he hit went off concussed. Maybe you should consider the ethical issues with potting other posters for no reason?

POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
WCW it only happened once and it was more tongue in cheek after the Dogs fans booed Hunter. I thought it was quite funny and the people around me did as well. There was definitely no malice in it and it didn't continue all night. Just a bit of theatrics, which is always part of the footy. -
100% agree. And their lies the problem. If Buddy had of got 2 as well I can stomach that and happy with they follow these guidelines all year.
-
As long as the MRO is consistent I think everyone is happy, but they have already shown some inconsistency. I feel if an action results in an injury to a player i.e Collins concussion it has to be at minimum high impact. I can't fathom how an act that 'could' result in injury be graded higher than an act that does result in injury. Shane McAdam will also have to get 2 weeks minimum as it was almost identical to Kozzy's hit.
-
They can't increase it. They either reduce it or it stays the same.
-
100% agree. Absolute joke. Collins was concussed FFS!
-
I will be annoyed if we don't contest this on the grounds it wasn't high contact as it was a hit to the body. Though knowing us we will just roll over as always.
-
I disagree. He made contact with his chest. Not saying I like the act and would prefer he didn't do it, but he definitely didn't get him in the head otherwise Smith would've been out cold and he would be looking at 4-5 weeks.

POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Everyone in our area were clapping? -
This is the post. Taking 'optics' out of it and whether you think the act was poor or not, they have to look at the bump objectively. It is either a fine or a week suspension, anything more you argue that the MRP have based a decision outside of the guidelines available to them.

By the end of your quest you won't know if it's Maysie or not -
The games I saw I felt he butchered the ball a lot.

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Plus he fails to mention that the largest crowd for a Tigers v Carlton opener was 90k in 2018. So if we just assume there was 50% of each supporter group, that's 45k each. So if Melbourne have 40-45k supporters there it is roughly in line with those two sides..... so what is he on about. -
PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm not disputing that. Just more the fact that media were saying similar stuff last year re the crowd but failed to acknowledge that there were barely any Dogs fans there. So we essentially had 90% of our membership base at the game, so not sure what more they expect. -

At the same game last year I reckon it was 90% Dees fans, the doggies fans did not turn up. -

I expect the club to say 'we expect May to be fit for Saturday night', only to make a late withdrawal an hour before the game -

I'd say if May doesn't get up they will go Turner as the replacement. Petty will take May's role and Turner will play in Petty's role. Gawn to play more behind the ball as opposed to forward.
