Kozzy bump on Soligo
I'm comfortable with Kozzy having a week suspension if the AFL decide they want to be ultra strict on head high contact, but this idea that the impact was 'medium' is ridiculous. It was low impact. I don't understand why they didn't change the gradings for head contact to: low impact - 1 week / medium impact - 2 weeks / high impact - 3 weeks and then severe straight to the tribunal for 4+. This 'potential to cause injury' wording just confuses everyone and muddies the waters. Fogarty should have got two weeks for that hit which was essentially the equivalent to Peter Wright except Cunningham got knocked out and Fyfe didn't. This is probably a bit to common sense though for the AFL to implement.

Kozzy bump on Soligo
To anyone having a crack at Kozzy saying he needs to change, I have seen numerous occasions this season where he was running towards a player and pulls up at the last second, so he has definitely changed the way he goes about it. This incident was a bit different to the previous bumps, given he was going for a spoil and then made glancing, side on contact. Will either be a 1 week suspension if deemed medium contact or a fine if deemed low. Going off the Max King one the other day which was similar I would say they will grade as medium, but who knows with the MRO.

Judd McVee no stinker
I love Judd McVee and I think they will work with him on improving his defensive game, which is already pretty strong for a 20 year old! Going to be a great long term player for us.

Rising Star Nomination for The Duke?
Made the right decision and executed late with his kick to Fritsch also. Love him. Can't wait to see once he adds some muscle to his frame.

Rising Star Nomination for The Duke?
Hopefully without the flopping like Rozee?

Some of the comments in that thread are embarrassing. Shock, young players developing at Casey can be inconsistent....

Exactly. Once he is OOC this changes, but for the end of this year we can just say no deal and he comes back for another season. These articles saying 'Crows think they can get him' are all just for clickbait, fact is we don't have to trade.

Well yeah but you very rarely get what a player is worth once they are out of contract and want to leave, given the players can choose where they want to go. We are very lucky Freo tanked last year and we got Windsor!

He wanted to leave though and was out of contract so we did the best we could. No point whinging about a player who didn't want to be here, when the majority do. Agreed about Gawn injury, but most teams are the same (dockers probably the only ones who can cover their number one ruck). If English goes down Dogs have to ruck either Darcy or Lobb full time. If Marshall goes down the Saints have Tom Campbell. If Soldo goes down the Power have Jordon Sweet and so on and so on. There aren't many good ruckman around and there are hardly any AFL standard rucks in the VFL.

Training Ground?
Lol I would never be bidding for that.... maybe the olympics but sounds like our pollies can't work together to organise anything

Training Ground?
It feels as though some people just want to be outraged no matter what is happening. It's like the Tasmanian stadium talk, they need to view this as an investment into the future of the state with potential sporting events and concerts to be held. Instead there are pollie's using the current economic issues to try stop progression, while fixing both is not necessarily unachievable.

Sounds like the FD really rate Bailey and want to see him continue to grow and improve. I'm happy with this as it ensures we have decent depth on the list and it also give Bailey the opportunity to just focus on footy without the worry about coming out of contract. Lets also not forget that he would be on a relatively low wage for an AFL player so wouldn't be taking much out of our salary cap. Our recruitment team has been one of the best performed for 10 years now, so anyone trying to call out our misses is taking the p i $ $
