Deven Robertson is pretty vanilla in my mind. Isn’t quick. Skills are average. Not really what we need.

Every player is different, some are ready to go within the first year or two and others take time. Just because he was pick 15 does not mean he has to be played within the first 2 years. If you watch some of the most well run clubs such as the cats and swans they take their time developing players before they play AFL and thankfully so do we now.

I really don't think there are many options out there unfortunately, so who knows maybe we will have a crack with Rory Lobb.... Kalani White won't drafted until 2025 and even then will take a good 2-3 years to be a consistent performer. Mabior Chol was the one we probably should've gone for last year, but even he is pretty inconsistent. We had the best ruck/forward in the league.... but he got homesick

Billings, Mcadam and Laurie are all contracted so won’t be going anywhere. The others are likely, plus Tomlinson.

Take your pick really. I prefer we strengthen our list and stiff to whoever misses out. Based on the current team probably Howes misses out, but who knows next year.

He hasn't turned 26 and the only reason he hasn't played much this season is due to injury. He played 24, 21 and 20 games the three years prior. So completely different to Hunter and Billings.

Isaac Cumming is an unrestricted free agent who I hope we are looking at. He would be a good replacement for Gus as that utility who can play halfback or on a wing. Turns 26 in a few months so is in a good age bracket for us as well.

Great point. Our supporters look at our scoreline and bemoan the fact we scored the majority of goals in 1 quarter but ignore the fact that this is fairly common with most teams in tight, contested games.

I'm not so much concerned about this specific issue, but I think it just goes back to the flimsy way the AFL run their competition. They flip flop constantly and are swayed by the media & large clubs on certain decisions, when they need to work out what is the best way to grow the game and work on a system that does this.
