We must have another trade in the works for a key position player or ruck. If not, I will be extremely disappointed in the club if we go into next season with only Gawn and Grundy as genuine ruck options and no back up.

So at this stage our key forward ruck options will be Gawn, Grundy, McDonald, Brown and JVR. Not great depth. A couple of injuries and we will be back to playing Melksham as the 2nd tall....

I think he will personally. Needs to go away and get himself super fit though. He looks like he carries a bit extra, so think if he slims down slightly his speed and running will improve.

True, but we may be able to use that to get further up the board to pick up a Sheezel or Cadman. Given we would expect to have a pick around 15-18 as our first next year it may be worth it.

Could be a potential option for us to swap a future first for one of these.

There is zero chance the Eagles trade their first round pick next year. They will know they are destined for another bottom 4 finish, so it would be crazy for them to do that.

WC list manager says they are definitely in the hunt for Jackson. This is a very good scenario for us as it keeps Freo honest during discussions and if they genuinely want him they have the trade capital to get it done.

I definitely wasn't having a dig at Yze and he was up there with my favourite Demons as a kid. Just saying, not everyone has to play like Jack Viney.

Ooze was never the hardest player going around in his day. As long as you go when it's your turn, we desperately need some silk through our side.

Something will get done and we will get roughly what we want. The Eagles are just sitting and watching at the moment but may come hard. If they split pick 2 for picks 5 & 7 from the Suns then suddenly they are right in the hunt.

I think Grundy would classify as a big fish given he's a two time all Australian ruckman. Other than arguably Taranto or Dunkley he's probably the most accomplished player in the trade/free agency period this year and he's coming to us.

The AFL should really publish this 'formula' so people know wtf is going on. That pick seems petty fair for a play like Amon anyays.

We would have to trade into the top 5 picks to have any chance of him or Cadman. Not sure how we will get that done, given Ashcroft will go 1 to Brisbane we will have to essentially get a top 4 pick off North, West Coast, GWS or Essendon. If we get pick 8 from Freo if they get it from Port, we will then have to talk one of these sides into swapping down. West Coast may be open to it given Jedd Busslinger from WA is expected to go around that pick, but they still need high quality midfielders so may not be willing to.

I always enjoyed watching Hunty play and he seems like a ripper bloke, but the fact is we have the following as medium defenders: Salem, Hibberd, Rivers, Bowey, Joel Smith, Deakyn Smith and Judd McVee. We can only pay so much in our salary cap, so if he is going to earn an extra $100k or whatever a year then good on him.

If we get Freo's future first I'd rather keep that as I think they may drop slightly next year. Risk v reward but it could end up netting us two top 10 picks if that happens.

It is the worst I've ever seen it. They seem to be making up stuff to try and get people listening rather than reporting on facts.

Are you sure? Haven't seen him on any lists. An article I read says he's contracted for 2 years.
