  1. After watching that documentary on the trade period, that Colin Young bloke looked like a complete nuffie. All the other agents were much more professional and actually got things done.
  2. Very true. If we take out his first two years when he was only young and starting out, he has averaged 19.37 games per year and that includes his 6 this year. If we remove this year then it is an average of 21.28 over 7 years. That is impressive.
  3. As long as we can get a pick around number 5, would be happy with either Cadman or Sheezel as both fill a need. A KPF or a classy half forward/winger.
  4. Have they discussed the machinations of the trades yet? Can't wait to hear Damian Barrett break that down for 7 hours straight.
  5. haha wow. If he leaves as well our amazing 2019 draft will be a distant memory.
  6. News of the Queen's death must've hit him hard
  7. I just don't understand why we wouldn't throw our hat in the ring for Taranto instead of Grundy and pick up a cheap ruck/forward option. Can never have enough gun mids and I rate Taranto higher than Hopper.
  8. Tbf we had pretty much no injuries last year. This year we've had Lever, Gawn, Mcdonald, Salem, Petty all miss significant chunks or play through injury. We had nothing like that last year.
  9. Laurie re-signed this year I'm pretty sure. I reckon after another pre-season he will play some games next year. Think he just needs to build up his tank a bit more, but I think he will be a player for us long term.
  10. It is pretty frustrating watch us lose to the same teams (Swans and Pies), who play similar styles, multiple times in identical ways.
  11. Would much rather a bloke like Dunstan going at 100% (after a week off) and crashing in hard than Trac hobbling around trying to play as best he can. We need to have a team full of players that are ready to play at finals intensity and if they aren't it's not worth the risk.
  12. Can confirm May wasn't there thankfully....
  13. I just snuck a couple of arvo pints at the rosstown ;) Saw Jimmy Jordon there with his Mum actually. Very sad for him.
  14. You would think he will be 200+ by the time he starts.
  15. I have de-loaded on beers this week to make sure I'm cherry ripe for Friday night. I think I'll be able to increase my beer intake by about 10-20% as a result.
  16. Having some connections through my brother over there this doesn't surprise me. I really hope he's thinking long and hard about this one as history has shown moving to Freo is a poison chalice.... other than the money you earn. He will instantly be their highest paid player and if he doesn't perform the fans will become feral. Not sure he is ready to take on that type of burden but time will tell.
  17. Just saw that Port may enter the race for Brodie Grundy. If that is the case and Jacko leaves, would we potentially look at Sam Hayes from Port to play with Max as a younger ruck option? He dominates at SANFL level and is only 23.
  18. Maybe that way if someone gets a decent knock they have ample time to recover.
  19. I think it was to give themselves an extra day before the real thing, rather than playing the practice match today.
  20. Apparently on SEN before Friday night's game Nathan Jones mentioned that he thinks Jackson may have changed his mind about leaving. Anyone hear this?
  21. Booked 7 tickets today on level 2. Absolutely pumped!
  22. Tbf if that what was said and the Lions want to create a good culture they should suspend him themselves. I reckon if one of our players did that they would get a club sanction.
  23. Well potentially Spargo or Melksham? Can never have too much quality on our list for the right price.
