The ironic thing is the way we have handled this request for ANB is actually an example of good culture. Culture isn’t about how many games you win, it’s about how you act when you have to make a decision that isn’t in the best interest of your club, but is right for the individual.

He would be a decent replacement for ANB one would think.

I will be there to clap Nibbler and I'm also hoping Ben Brown gets a farewell game. I understand that cost of living pressures and family stuff can make getting to the footy difficult, but if we don't get minimum 30k of our fans to this game I will be [censored]. The turnout for the Port & Giants games were f'ing pitiful and the fans need to have a look at themselves. I understand there is some unrest and media noise about the club, but the supporters job is to support and get behind the players.

They don’t entirely given he’s contracted. I’m sure the club will act in good faith, but will have also told Nibbler it’s a business and we are only going to trade you if the deal is right for us.

Could just be part of his development and they may look to move him forward next year to increase his profile.

And fair enough. Whoever this is about needs to sit down with Gawny, Trac and the rest of the leaders and talk about what they actually want out of their footy career. If it doesn’t align with the club then perhaps they should be moved on

As sad as we are at Nibbler leaving, this isn’t on Tim Lamb? You can blame him and Taylor for some other choices but not this one. He is signed up don’t forget, so theoretically we could just say no. Can’t see us doing that but we aren’t just going to give him away.

Good opportunity for Laurie next year. He was right up there in the running over the off season so if he has a big preseason could be the first option as a replacement. Spargo probably also in the mix if he can get fit.

I like the look of Murphy Reid personally. He doesn’t have the electric speed of a Butters, but he has incredible spatial awareness like a Pendlebury or Sheezel.

The eagles definitely experienced something similar after 2006. Judd was gone after 07, Cousins in rehab, Fletcher flatlining. That was way worse than what we’ve gone through. Amazing Nisbett and Worsfold were kept on so long after this. Guessing if it was a Vic club it would’ve been very different.
