I’m sure petracca is unhappy with certain things, I’m not disputing that. But to come with the line, ‘Petracca would ask for a trade tomorrow if he was out of contract’ is irresponsible journalism because it is not dealing in facts.

Yep I’ve stopped watching/listening to both as well. Not only because of the Melbourne pile on, but I just think the quality of reporting is terrible and everything is so sensationalised. It’s a game of football, not life and death! But the media seem to report on it like it is.

He had Cameron Schwab last week! I also couldn't watch that due to concerns my blood pressure would rise...

I don't understand why everyone is even remotely concerned about this? He is contracted like Trac, so it would take North's pick 2 at least to get us to trade him. North can throw whatever they want at him, we can just say no. I have heard media people say that trade talk is the number one most listened to/clicked on media in the AFL world. This is why they put so much time into it and also why there is a show on the AFL website 'Gettable' that runs all year round and is just constant talking about nothing. It all started with AFL trade radio and it is now that on steroids.

Out of contract this year I believe. We would be stupid to not try get him and he would be stupid to not leave given Freo have Jackson and Darcy on long term deals.

I feel like the whole issue with this is we’ve spent 10+ years trying to get a home base near the MCG, which was always going to be difficult. I don’t know all the particulars, but I think that was going on well before this board and they seem to be the only ones that have made actually progress, albeit slow progress.

I think the play is to take pick 6 to the draft. ANB probably traded for Crows second rounder. Package that up with another pick for Lions first rounder.

Cost of living is definitely an issue for some and totally understand that. But there would be a decent chunk of supporters who aren't effected by COL and just choose not to go.

Yep. I was at both the GWS and Port games.... It's not the forum going people that are the issue, it is the general supporters who only turn up when it suits them.

That's fine. But you're a leader of the club and being a leader means digging in and working on improving it, not airing grievances through the media (assuming it was him specifically). This is all hearsay at the moment anyway, but he has been one of the main culprits for poor execution. He kicked a total of 28.34 last year!

The difference is Alex came to the club months before trade period and explained his issues with family etc. Adelaide went to Petty during the trade period and said 'oh hey we have $1m available next year do you want it?' Petty re-signing shows it was never about getting back to Adelaide for him.

This is absolute BS. Only very recently they showed his standing over his first 80 or so games and he is up there with some of the best small forwards.

I question why I'm wasting my time here most days....
