Agreed. He's a great bloke to have down at Casey to help develop our younger players. -

Swans are dominating in the midfield -
That may very well be an ACL injury for Darcy Cameron. Looked like one of those very innocuous knee issues, like what happened to Tomlinson and Lever.

So does this make us feel better about beating the Dogs or worse about losing to the Lions?

Welcome to Demonland Oliver Sestan

He was interviewed on Gus and Gawny's podcast. Absolute unit. Have a good feeling about him. Seems like the kind of bloke with a ton of talent but never really took footy too seriously growing up. Putting him into a full time, high standard organisation and he could really come on as a real smokey from that draft. His highlights remind me a lot of Robbie Gray personally. -
Judd McVee Signs Extension until 2025
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
He will be an absolute cracker I reckon. Will be the new Jetts, but with a bit more attacking flair. -
With a crunch game coming up and the poor form of the side on the weekend I'm thinking the following changes for Sunday: Ins: Hibberd, van Rooyen, Jordon & May Outs: Tomlinson, McVee, Gawn & Harmes Happy with how McVee's career has started but if Hibberd is in form he has to come in as the lockdown defender for Papley. May for Tommo is a like for like, though Petty is also a watch at the moment but keen to see how we plays with May back. I'd like to see Jordon come in for Harmes to add his ball winning ability and disciplined gamestyle. It's JVR time! As long as he competes in the air and when the ball hits the deck I will be happy. Not expecting big numbers but just to play his role.

Trent Rivers Re-Signs until 2027
DistrACTION Jackson replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
I personally believe Rivers will stay, at least for another 3-4 years. I'd like to see JJ given Harmes role, I think he's a much more consistent performer and you know exactly what you're going to get with him. Harmes maybe has a higher ceiling in regards to potential goals etc. but I'd prefer JJ.- 125 replies

100% agree. It basically means there is no point having an academy, because if you put time into them and they develop too well you don't get to take them anyway. I can see the merit in maybe no access to top 10, but other than that I think it should be fair game. Also, if every other team has that then the Swans & Lions should as well (different for Giants and Suns as they are still in their infancy).

Welcome to Demonland Kynan Brown

Yes. Some think he may be a top 20 pick. -
I generally try to be optimistic, however I have heard a few Dees fans say the performance against Brisbane was 'un-Melbourne like' and I question whether that is correct. Based on 2021 I would say yes, but if we base it on 2022 I'd say it is actually very much in line with how we have been playing. It's all well and good having stars in the midfield, but if they don't work together as a team it won't make a difference. We can talk all we want about being more attacking, but if the pressure is turned up and everyone goes into their shells then it's all talk. I am concerned with the way we play and our inability to be flexible mid game and this must come back to the coaching. Not confident for Sunday.

I'm sitting in a GA area so assume I'll be surrounded by Lions fans.... I guess the best spot would be the cheer squad, but not sure if they would be available?

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Would be great to have another brother combo at the club! -
Away game so they would want to bring the emergencies in case a late change is needed.
-
I think we would be. Use it as a bit of motivation along with the semi final. Turn the heat up and Brissy will go to water.
-
Yeah really nice! New head greens keeper has got it in fantastic nick.
-
Hence why Langdon will never do media again haha
-
Gee as a Lions administrator you would be nervous every time Robinson opens his mouth

I also think 2 weeks for the Kozzy act is actually spot on given the outcome was no injury. 2 weeks for the act is fair and then the outcome should then determine the remaining additional weeks.
-
I think they will be trying to argue it down to a 'high impact' rating and a 2 week suspension like Kozzie.
