KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
He will be a restricted free agent, which is handy because it will give us flexibility. If we have a shocker and he leaves we could get a first round pick after our first, or we can choose to match and force a trade. No point stressing about it now, we hold all the cards for the next 2 years and then after the third we can see what happens.

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
While I think he probably didn't choose the best words, I think saying this puts to rest trade talk for this season unless we get an absolutely monster deal. I'm hoping the club hold him to the next 3 years and if he wants to leave after then so be it. It's also important to remember a lot can change in 3 years! He may end up being really happy in Melbourne and choose to stay, you just don't know.

Played a straight bat and said I’m contracted to Melbourne. Sounds like his manager has said they aren’t trading you so let’s just keep powder dry on any chat….

Trac’s Pep Talk & Belief in Dees Resurgence
Will be interesting to see if he's back in full contact training today... I think the club has been just playing it ultra cautious the last few weeks. If it was in season there is no doubt he would've already been playing, potentially even the week after it happened going by reports it was on the minor end.

Farewell Judd McVee
Don’t think a hamstring injury will make a difference to his decision. He may well seek a trade, but hopefully he decides to stay for at least a couple more years.

Anyone else like me and waiting patiently for the McVee injury update?!

Trac’s Pep Talk & Belief in Dees Resurgence
Yep…. Literally as the siren sounded the umpire blew his whistle. What a disaster that was. I was right behind the kick, it started right and looked like a behind and then somehow swung back the other way, a bit like Jordan Dawson’s from Crows when he did it v Port. Except Farmer was closer to goal.

Try being at Subi the following year as a 13/14 year old, right behind the goals as Jeff kicked the after siren winner…. That was a rough night

Demonland Super Coach League - 2025
Hello all. Just following up as we currently have 10 of the 18 sides from last year who have already confirmed for 2025 SuperCoach. If you were in the competition last year and are keen to come back again please let me know and I can send you the league code. I will give it until around Opening Round before I start inviting new members. Thanks

Footballing wilderness? We had one year out of the 8 and still had 11 wins… after what I witnessed from 2008-2013 that wilderness is quite tranquil

MEMBERSHIP TALLY 2025
We are on the same trajectory as 2022 and finished with over 65k that year. It will all depend on how we are tracking by about round 10/11. If finals are looking likely we will easily get 60k

Melbourne Football Club - The CEO
He isn’t being considered for the role I don’t think. He is consulting as part of some consulting firm

Simon Goodwin Herald Sun Interview.
Fair enough. I think the comment was more to holding players to contracts when they are required, as opposed to never trading contracted players.

I think all were moved on rather than ‘losing’ them.

Simon Goodwin Herald Sun Interview.
I don't think there are many, other than players we were happy to move on given they were surplus to needs.

Trade Targets
Very true. I think if we hadn't had the internal blow up late last year we may very well have Houston, however if that was the case I don't think we would have Xavier Lindsay. That probably would have been better for 2025 and maybe 2026, but who knows how good Lindsay could turn out to be.
