  1. Nah I looked into him, didn't play over 100 for either
  2. Have narrowed it down to two players.... 😉
  3. I live nearby Caulfield Racecourse but I’d never been in the middle park where they plan to do most of the works. I went a couple of weeks ago to check it out and I was quite shocked how dilapidated the internal area was, it was terrible. I don’t see how any local person could not support this, given it would drastically improve the park lands.
  4. True... but still wouldn't need to be a secret I wouldn't have thought I've done a little research and I think we have 7 players who have played over 100 with us and another club. Jeff Farmer Jeremy Howe Bernie Vince James Frawley Steven May Jake Melksham There is one I'm unsure of who played 109 games for Melbourne and then 102 for Carlton.... fun little quiz for your Thursday
  5. Is it just me, or does Aidan Johnson look like he's already put on a heap of size since joining the club? Perhaps being a full time footballer contributes to this, more time to work on physical fitness when not working a full time job.
  6. This is very strange.... wonder why we can't talk about a F/S player given they are available to us if we want?
  7. I think the ANB role is perfect for KB. He's a good runner as shown in time trial results, he's got good pace and is probably quicker and also better skilled than ANB. It will just take him time to get familiar with the role I'd say, as ANB definitely made it his own and was so reliable at it.
  8. Doesn’t Travis Johnstone have a FS coming through…
  9. Expecting everyone else to do the hard yards I see? 😂
  10. Do you think there’s a chance Lindsay also debuts round 1? Edit- sorry I missed you had him in the side....
  11. Yes he would have to be deemed to be medically unable to play this season. If it was confirmed now however, we could sign a player before the end of the SSP period on Feb 21. Here's the laws of the game part covering it: 26. Inactive List 26.1 Inactive List (a) A Club may apply to the General Counsel or Executive General Manager of Football to transfer an AFL Player suffering a season ending injury or has retired from its AFL Primary List or Category A Rookie List to its AFL Inactive List. (b) A season ending injury means an injury or illness suffered by a Player which, in the opinion of the AFL Medical Director, after consultation with the Club Medical Officer, will prevent or is likely to prevent a Player, having due regard to their health and safety, from participating in Matches for the remainder of the relevant AFL Season. 26.2 Approval of the AFL (a) A Player may only be transferred to the Inactive List with the Player’s consent and with the approval of the General Counsel. (b) Where a Club proposes to transfer a Player to the Inactive List, the following procedure shall apply: (i) an Officer of the Club shall as soon as practicable, complete an “Application for Inclusion on Inactive List” in the form prescribed in Schedule 1 as Form 43 (“the Application”); (ii) the Officer of the Club and the Club Medical Officer shall sign the Application, where applicable; (iii) the Player shall sign the Application as evidence of their consent to being transferred to the Inactive List; (iv) the Officer of the Club shall lodge the Application with the General Counsel, together with supporting evidence which verifies that the Player is suffering from a season ending injury or has retired; (v) the General Counsel may in their absolute discretion, approve or disapprove the transfer of the injured Player to the Club’s Inactive List or require such further medical evidence, including without limitation a medical report from a duly qualified medical practitioner approved by the General Counsel, prior to determining whether to approve or disapprove the transfer; and (vi) where the General Counsel gives their approval, the injured Player shall from that time be deemed to be included on the Club’s Inactive List. (c) The transfer of a Player to a Club’s Inactive List under this Rule 26.2 shall not take effect until the General Counsel has notified their approval under Rule 26.2(a). Where the General Counsel does not approve the transfer of the injured Player to the Club’s Inactive List, they shall notify the Officer of the Club and the Application shall be of no effect. 26.3 Eligibility Subject to Rule 26.5, a Player who is transferred to the Inactive List is ineligible to play in the AFL Competition or in any other Australian Football competition for the period 100 from the date that Player is transferred to the Inactive List until the conclusion of the relevant AFL Season. 26.4 Replacement Player (a) Where a Player is transferred to the Inactive List a Club may replace that Player by selecting a replacement player during the Pre-Season Supplemental Selection Period or at the mid-AFL Season Draft Selection Meeting. (b) A Club is unable to replace an AFL Player transferred to its AFL Inactive List after the conclusion of the mid-AFL Season Draft Selection Meeting. 26.5 Transfer from Inactive List to Primary List (a) A Club may, subject to that Club having an available List position, make written application in the form prescribed in Schedule 1 as Form 43A to the General Counsel for the transfer of a Player from its Inactive List to the Club’s Primary List or Category A Rookie List in the relevant AFL Season that Player was transferred to the Inactive List provided that the Club Medical Officer or the medical practitioner who has treated the Player certifies that the Player has recovered from their injury sufficiently to allow the Player, having due regard to their health and safety, to play in a Match and such certification is lodged with the application. (b) The General Counsel may in their absolute discretion, approve or disapprove an application under Rule 26.5(a) for the transfer of a Player to the Club’s Primary List or require such further medical evidence, including without limitation, a medical report from a duly qualified medical practitioner approved by the General Counsel, prior to determining whether to approve or disapprove the transfer. (c) The transfer of a Player back to a Club’s Primary List or Category A Rookie List under Rule 26.5(b) shall not take effect until the General Counsel has notified their approval. Where the General Counsel does not approve the transfer of the Player back to the Club’s Primary List or Category A Rookie List, they shall notify the Officer of the Club and the Application shall be of no effect. 26.6 Consultation The General Counsel may consult with the AFL Medical Director prior to exercising their discretion to approve or disapprove a transfer under Rule 26.2 or 26.5
  12. Have you actually seen the texts? I’m not sure if you’re serious or joking with your posts… that’s a compliment, I enjoy your jokes
  13. Will check Freo website to make sure he isn't there already
  14. No I believe he is a restricted free agent, so we can still match.
  15. They treat it as a sprint… a constant, never ending sprint
  16. If I was Tim Lamb I'd be chatting with Caleb Serong to see if he has any interest to move back to Melbourne. He is contracted until 2027 like Kozzy, but he may have some interest if the option is there. We just have to play hardball here, we can't roll over on a star player with a contract until 2027.
  17. That's all well and good, but Narkle is an average footballer and probably won't even be on a list in 12-24 months time....
  18. 100%. The AFL need to focus on doing more to get them involved. I remember hearing they were planning to give our NT catchment to the Suns or North? Gee I’d be annoyed given how much time and resources we’ve put into it and have only just got our first player from the Alice
  19. Think there was 2, Ricky Mentha Jnr and Malaki Champion. Both rookie selections though, so non selected in the main draft….
  20. We've now cracked 40k! 40,469
  21. I think early in the season they are probably more influenced by team supporter bases. As the season goes on and the pool becomes bigger then it will revert to more the punters views.
  22. Don’t forget Billings was coming back from two injury riddled seasons, so was probably lacking confidence in his body. His last three games playing off a wing were actually fairly solid. He looks super fit now and has done a full preseason, which I’m guessing he hasn’t done for a while.
  23. I think Billings will get first crack on the wing based on training reports.
  24. Fair enough… I guess if they’ve called themselves that it wouldn’t be an issue
