  1. Don’t reckon we should worry who they replace, just try make our list and best 23 better however we can.
  2. They still hang out according to Insta, so hard to keep them apart in their own time… but get your point
  3. My mistake…. Still worth going after him though! 😅
  4. Hello all. My league is now at the maximum, thanks to everyone who has joined and apologies for those who were keen.
  5. Jamarra and Clarry are good mates.... wonder if that would help and be good for Clarry. Hard to tell. Tim Lamb, Goody, Jason Taylor and the rest of the coaching department would probably need to be involved to work out if it is right for club culture.
  6. I’d be very surprised if he isn’t there round 1. While he may have some deficiencies, he is our most natural forward in a forward line we mostly acknowledge is lacking…
  7. Not surprising, plus COL struggles would make it hard for some families. I think to build the 'rusted on' number of members we need to have a strong decade of regular finals appearances. Also, if we are in finals contention come June/July we will likely get a boost from that with people wanted guaranteed finals tickets.
  8. The one I'm interested in is Zac Bailey from the Lions. RFA the end of 2026 I believe, so I wonder if we could prise him out a year early if he was interested in coming back to Vic.
  9. For me I'm not blaming the AFL for a cyclone, could happen next week or the week after, and it's very unlikely. I just don't like the opening round as a concept because it adds further inequality to an already unequal fixture. All the clubs should have this weekend off to prepare for the season and then away we go. One bye each through the middle of the season and I also hate the pre-finals bye personally, but understand why they keep it.
  10. Given the number of first round picks we've used the last two years, plus the potential FS/academy selections of White and Sinnema in 2025 and Prasad 2026 I think we should be going hard on trades and using picks. We can trade picks from 2025, 2026 & 2027 now, so we can go pretty hard at adding to our list to win now.
  11. Hard for JVR to be the fix when he didn't play after a minute... While I do have reservations about our forward options, the way the media flip flop just infuriates me.
  12. He obviously wasn't concerned that the Giants looked absolutely terrible in both practice matches....
  13. I think our record by round 1 was 50k… might be pushing it this year but never know. They usually do their members drive telethon thing, haven’t heard of that being done yet.
  14. Didn’t realise it had already been 4 weeks… time flies.
  15. 6-8 for Tholstrup is good. When it came out they said 10-12 weeks
  16. Plus Coniglio could go down at any moment. Without Green their midfield isn’t that deep, Callaghan, Kelly, Coniglio and then who? Bedford maybe
  17. I’m personally not as sold on the Giants being top 4 like most experts and expect them to finish somewhere in the 5-10 range. Given their horror injury issues/self inflicted suspensions to start the season they could be behind the eight ball 4-5 rounds in. I could be completely wrong on this, just feel they lost quite a bit of depth of the off season in Perryman, Peatling and Cumming which could hurt them,
  18. Well he didn’t please me when he left
  19. Well the original post was a guess so was just updating it based on information that has come through from other posters or radio interviews. Don’t read it if you don’t want? For example, Alan Richardson said on a radio interview they expect McVee back round 2 or 3 and Ghostwriter mentioned Hore said he expects to miss 3-4 weeks from memory.
  20. Tholstrup will be out until mid season I think... unless he is tracking ahead of schedule. My best guess is the full list as follows: Marty Hore (broken hand) — 3-4 weeks Luke Kentfield (pneumonia) — TBC Shane McAdam (achilles) — 2026 Judd McVee (hamstring) — Round 2 or 3 Jake Melksham (hamstring) — pre-season/early 2025 Andy Moniz-Wakefield (ACL) — 2026 Kysaiah Pickett (suspension) — round four Koltyn Tholstrup - 8-10 weeks
  21. I think the latest is: Fullarton - played for Casey I believe McVee - Expected back round 3 JVR - TBC but supposedly ok for round 1 Spargo - played a half for Casey
  22. No. It's a MFCSS style prediction. The only official statement is he will be fine for round 1.... but we know how that went for Bont and Jagga
  23. 100% agree. JVR & Turner as KPFs with another as the ruck forward is fine for key positions. We need elite small/mediums with good skills. Looks at the Lions - Cameron, Rayner, Bailey, Lohman, Ah Chee... Our list is sort of Fritsch, Pickett, Chandler, Sparrow (maybe). We are miles off them for that position. The one we do need back is Tholstrup, who I think can add to this.
