Yep they are in for a world of hurt. Everyone was giving them an ‘A’ for their off season, conveniently ignoring the fact they’ve lost the majority of their best players. It’s a dangerous game cutting a list that deep, considering there’s no guarantee your draft picks make it!

One thing I'm really proud of is our investment in the Alice Springs community and continuing to grow the game there, but also help in the community like when they helped to grass a footy oval and then this example with the basketball court.

If the AFL tick this off it will be a disgrace. Wanting to add a player in their last year of junior footy would be an absolute rort. This comes back to my view that a player should have to be in the academy for at least 2-3 seasons to be eligible as an academy player. North tried this a year and a half ago with Ryley Sanders and the AFL said no, so will be interesting to see what they do this time.

I don't mind swapping out Billings for a high pressure forward, though my thoughts were that Sparrow & Sharp would both run through there to provide some of that forward pressure along with Chandler. Yeah unlucky for TMac, I just don't want Petty or JVR rucking anymore so Petty plays 2nd tall defender and Johnson is the one who can come in and throw his body around in the ruck and then spend time up forward.

Assuming everyone gets through this weekend unscathed I'm going with: B: Bowey May Lever HB: Salem Petty Windsor C: Langdon Viney Sharp HF: Petracca Turner Sparrow F: Chandler van Rooyen Fritsch R: Gawn Oliver Rivers Int: Langford Woewodin Billings Johnson Sub: Lindsay Woewodin to play half back until McVee is back and Billings to drop to sub once Koz is back. I'm going Johnson as our R/F to allow JVR to focus solely on being a forward.

I doubt the old MCC members from many years ago could’ve foreseen both a Taj and a Jai playing for the MFC back in the 60s…. Good luck to the young fella!

Hi all Just wanted to send a final reminder to the coaches from last season who haven't re-joined the league. I will be giving it until this Friday coming to get in touch before I start adding new teams to the league. I will start doing this from Saturday the 1st to ensure we have a full league come Round 1.
