Delistings/trades at end of the season
Looks likely he is coming to us then.... I don't mind this at the right price.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
I'm not blaming Neeld for everything as there were a lot of other issues. But surely it would have been smarter to try and get more for our players rather than just selling them off. It just seemed so poorly handled at the time.

Very good point Mach5. We can see what happened when Neeld came in and had a fire sale where we got nothing for most of our players. Not sure what the point of that was? Was he trying to make a point to the other players because it really screwed us. The players may not be the best option for the future but there is no point selling an 'asset' for under the value you can get from it.

VBerg wasn't the first country player drafted. Pretty sure Isaac Smith was from the country leagues...

I wouldn't be surprised if we offer him a similar contract plus our first rounder and another pick/player. Then if Pies aren't coming to the party we may be able to swoop.

The trade period hasn't even started yet. Guess this is the negativity Roos was talking about

I'm fairly sure they would be on top of any players looking to leave their club?

I think all journalists will list Melbourne targeting X midfielder. It's common knowledge.

Good for him if true.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
I'd say it depends on what is on offer from the draft and other clubs. No point paying them out if what we are getting for them is not any better. It may mean that we keep them one more year as extreme depth and move them on next season.

Cross, Jamar, Bail, Fitzpatrick, McKenzie and Riley are all definite to retire or be de-listed. M. Jones, Terlich, Michie and Hunt are possibilities to be de-listed (Michie unlikely). Dawes, Howe, Garland and Grimes are all possibilities for trades and free agency. That's 14 players I think could possibly be moving on at the end of this year depending on how it plays out.

I'd add other Crows mids to the list. Kerridge, Lyons, Wright, Grigg, Ellis-Yolmen all unable to get games. They've got good depth at the crows.

I really rate Matt Wright and he is unlucky to be behind guys like Dangerfield, Sloane, Douglas and Thompson. I'd definitely look at him as a bargain trade.

I agree with a number of your options but can't understand a few. Why would we trade Watts after he has played his best season and looks to be heading in the right direction, and then use it for Bugg or Plowman who have not played anywhere near his level? And there is absolutely zero chance anyone would trade a 3rd round pick for Jamar.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
By the way I just had an email sent from someone with access to player salaries (take it with a grain of salt). I'm not going to go into detail but some of the players salaries for people we don't rate was staggering. I seriously think we can make a massive play for Dangerfield this off-season and pay him a packet over the next two seasons while also maintaining a long term view. Really hope we can somehow get him over the line.

I like where you're heading but we would be badly losing in that trade. We should be aiming for a minimum of Howe for early 2nd round pick by itself. I'd be more interested in trading Howe for an established player though. Think Howe for Tomlinson or Trent McKenzie.

It's positive to look at that and the age of most of those players. I think this off-season we will be going for another tall forward (possibly two if we can snare Lynch and Tomlinson). I also would like to see us take a speedy forward/mid as we have struggled with Kent injured. By the way you've forgotten Viney. I imagine he will be best 22.

If we can get Lynch it would be massive for our forward line. Very good player.

I'd prefer Kelly off half back than Steve Johnson.

Not a chance. Had his best season and is finally starting to realise his potential. Do you want him traded or something?

I doubt the ones being moved on are Demonland favorites...... otherwise they wouldn't be moved on.

I'm glad the club doesn't leak like a sinking ship anymore but I wonder who we are targeting.....
