  1. I'd say it depends on what is on offer from the draft and other clubs. No point paying them out if what we are getting for them is not any better. It may mean that we keep them one more year as extreme depth and move them on next season.
  2. Cross, Jamar, Bail, Fitzpatrick, McKenzie and Riley are all definite to retire or be de-listed. M. Jones, Terlich, Michie and Hunt are possibilities to be de-listed (Michie unlikely). Dawes, Howe, Garland and Grimes are all possibilities for trades and free agency. That's 14 players I think could possibly be moving on at the end of this year depending on how it plays out.
  3. Sad to see Crossy go but glad he could go out playing decent football rather than toiling away in the magoos! I see we've offered him a role at the footy club so hopefully he sticks around!
  4. I'd add other Crows mids to the list. Kerridge, Lyons, Wright, Grigg, Ellis-Yolmen all unable to get games. They've got good depth at the crows.
  5. I really rate Matt Wright and he is unlucky to be behind guys like Dangerfield, Sloane, Douglas and Thompson. I'd definitely look at him as a bargain trade.
  6. Definitely want him. Maybe our 2nd round pick or straight swap for Howe. We need more quality mids!
  7. Picket mate you've flogged this for 2 years now. Lets all move on together from Ollie Wines.....
  8. Brayshaw is pretty sold for a 19 year old.... I imagine first day of pre-season next year people will be surprised when he is built like a brick sh*thouse I think age plays a big factor in this. I remember reading that muscles and bone aren't at their peak until late twenties, may need someone to confirm that though.
  9. I agree with a number of your options but can't understand a few. Why would we trade Watts after he has played his best season and looks to be heading in the right direction, and then use it for Bugg or Plowman who have not played anywhere near his level? And there is absolutely zero chance anyone would trade a 3rd round pick for Jamar.
  10. I think I'm going to back in Roos, Goodwin and the footy department on this one. I'd say they may have a little more experience identifying talent than most of Demonland.
  11. By the way I just had an email sent from someone with access to player salaries (take it with a grain of salt). I'm not going to go into detail but some of the players salaries for people we don't rate was staggering. I seriously think we can make a massive play for Dangerfield this off-season and pay him a packet over the next two seasons while also maintaining a long term view. Really hope we can somehow get him over the line.
  12. I like where you're heading but we would be badly losing in that trade. We should be aiming for a minimum of Howe for early 2nd round pick by itself. I'd be more interested in trading Howe for an established player though. Think Howe for Tomlinson or Trent McKenzie.
  13. It's positive to look at that and the age of most of those players. I think this off-season we will be going for another tall forward (possibly two if we can snare Lynch and Tomlinson). I also would like to see us take a speedy forward/mid as we have struggled with Kent injured. By the way you've forgotten Viney. I imagine he will be best 22.
  14. I've got a feeling if we keep our first pick we will take Curnow. The thought of a midfield the size of Brayshaw, Petracca, Tyson and Curnow is fairly enticing! We can always trade for that extra speed and skill, think Freo trading for Danyle Pearce.
  15. If we can get Lynch it would be massive for our forward line. Very good player.
  16. I know we are meant to be positive but after looking at that team I think we will be well and truly belted! Would be happy to be proven wrong.
  17. I think we will be looking to trade pick 5 or 6. If we don't I think we will take one of Curnow or Weidemann.
  18. That's overs for those two. Howe could be a straight swap for Tomlinson, so you're essentially swapping pick 6 for a guy who has hardly got on the park.
  19. Not a chance. Had his best season and is finally starting to realise his potential. Do you want him traded or something?
  20. I doubt the ones being moved on are Demonland favorites...... otherwise they wouldn't be moved on.
  21. People suggesting Dunn will be moved on are kidding themselves. He is a good 3rd tall defender who rarely gets beaten. Definitely think the following will be gone: - Terlich - Bail - Garland - Howe - Riley - Jamar That's six changes already with a few others as possibilities. The issue is we need to be able to replace these guys.
  22. Think he has to go. Optimizes the last few years and he needs a fresh start and we need to move on from that time. We need to look at bringing in a mature replacement for him though. Any thoughts?
  23. I think the following will happen at the end of the season. Howe is gone: Hopefully we can trade him to GWS for someone like Tomlinson. Garland will leave as a FA: Hopefully we get a 2nd round or end of 2nd round for him (unless we get a FA ourselves). Cross will retire: I like him and he gives his all but he is done after this season. Grimes may be saved by the fact we lose Howe and Garland. Dawes won't be going anywhere but I hope he gets pushed out because we have better options.
