He will certainly be a different player next year with strength and endurance. I can see him and Trac swapping positions as 50/50 mid forwards. One thing I am really pleased with the last few months has been Goodwins willingness to give kids a taste of senior footy. This has been my knock on Goody for years that he hasn’t expanded the playing group. All of Kolt, Brown, AMW, Howes, Turner and Windsor will be regulars next year.

Defensive forwards are the cornerstone of all good sides and are worth their weight in gold. If you have one, you keep them. If you don’t, you pay a fortune to bring them in. 3 years is I small contract in todays game.

Jack Viney needs to give handballs off, his kicking was horrible yesterday and has been for most of the year. Keep it simple is his best option.

What is the feeling on Max, does he get up for this game? If he does, do we bring in Fullerton to combat Essendons 2 ruck lineup? I hate having JVR rucking, Turner looked ok in that role for a few bounces yesterday but Draper will kill him.

Rarely gets beaten and takes out an intercepting defender. He make Fritta a better forward as it’s the role Fritta has played of late.

Was a defender and a very very good one, with the best field kicking of all key defenders.

Here is the list and I’d like all of them. Lukosius- to play back Waterman- He and JVR 🤤 Lobb- 3rd tall and Ruck Dylan Shiels- won’t cost much and apparently back to peak powers. Just need a medium defender. Howes to wing, Juddy and Rivs to play more midfield along with Windsor.

I think that if we were top 2 at this stage, it would mean we are flying, our forwardline had clicked and he would not be required. So our current situation suits him.

Have seen a few games from Adam’s now and he looks to have the worst ground ball skills for a big defender. He looks like a ruckman below his knees. Hope to be proven wrong

I know people are keen to write Laurie off, but he is as hard as a cats head.. some incredible tough efforts in the wet today. would love to see him have a look at Chandlers spot.

Bowey needs to work on his one on one defensive work in the VFL I recon. He is just way too easy to move off the ball and is poor in the air. Salem in.. not sure who for. Petty out for the Wizard.

Yeah I get that feeling. Petty is a long term player and if we can’t get good trade picks, then we need to find his best spot, which is the 3rd tall defender. TMAC appears to be injury free and would be a good addition next to JVR.

I think we need another couple of class small defenders. I can see Juddy and Rivers filling our midfield. Windsor also.

One thing that is clear is that we need leadership in our front half. I would play Petty back for the rest of the year and TMAC forward. TMAC has been outstanding, but we need his presence to help JVR and Turner
