When was the last time we were longest odds for the round?

Forward line fix?
One could argue we have the worst assistant coaches in the league. Choco needs the arze based on his role and lack of results.

POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs Hawthorn
Did the AFL come out and admit that the Kosi goal was missed? Normally with the amount of media spotlight on it, and if it happened to a big Melbourne club they would comment.

2025 MRO & Tribunal
The AFL would admit that the umpire missed the call, if he gets a tripping report. The AFL would rather make 2 bad decisions, than admit an error and accept accountability. They are too busy telling us how good the umpiring is.

Forward line fix?
Having played in footy sides with a strong midfield/defence that cannot convert opportunities- it is the most confidence draining thing. You actually reach a point where you have less care for forward entries as you wonder whether the ball will just rebound back out. I understand we are a defence first team and build from defence, but is it time to prioritise the players ahead of the ball, ahead of the back 6? With this in mind, Turner and Petty should remain as the 2 key forwards. If we have any injuries down back, we replace them via the VFL. We seem to hold Turner in defence, and he is a break glass player. I feel the forwardline has always been the lowest priority- ‘if we get enough inside 50s, we will kick a winning score’. Efficiency and conversion are the key to winning. They are the key to confidence.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Highly doubt this level of sophistication exists. They are just a couple of blokes with huge egos that need to feel relevant. No one talks to them as they can’t be trusted, so they often float stories out there. For what it’s worth, I think Clarry might benefit from a change of employer. Geelong might be an environment that suits as it’s close knit and away from his current friend groups.

PREGAME: Rd 09 vs Hawthorn
We looked better without him last night. But will be a balancing act to try and push his trade value up for the rest of the year.

PREGAME: Rd 09 vs Hawthorn
Said that despite all the work with the club is keen to look elsewhere next year

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Tom Morris just said on 9 news Clarry is looking to leave at years end. Could be a great result if we can get something decent. We appear to have ready replacements and Clarry will benefit from the change.

The brutal 10-week fixture
The next 8 weeks is operation ‘give Essendon- stuff all’ where we turn their pick 4 to pick 18.

2025 NATIONAL DRAFT ORDER AND SELECTIONS
I read an article by Sheehan saying GC have 2 potential top 15 academy picks plus potentially White. Brisbane and Sydney also have top 10 academy pick. Competition seems fair.

2025 MRO & Tribunal
2nd incident like this, this year where a Hawks player has round armed an opponent. I think Scrimshaw got 3 or 4 weeks for hitting Ridley. They have form under Mitchell. Wonder if he has instructed them to make players earn it.

POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
Playing on and moving the ball quickly is quite taxing. A few might have spent their petrol tickets. The more you play that style you run out the games better.

What gets you excited about the club?
Hey, someone gets me..

PREGAME: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
Would rather see Kynan Brown or Bowey in that role now Juddy is back

New coach prospects
The coach will depend on whether the club genuinely think we are contending, or if we need another few years to challenge. Rebuild coaches do not last the journey, so if we want to rebuild might be worth getting a coach who can instill strong ethic and attacking flair, and Above all skills. I think Hird could be an option if he was keen to coach again.
