How about Tippett for Watts as a straight swap?
DubDee replied to Dees2014's topic in Melbourne Demons
my comment was around Tippett being shyte I know Watts is going, I'm supportive and I think a 2nd rounder is fair. This club no longer wants to carry players who are not driven to succeed, despite their obvious talent -

Mate, I told you to not call me Shirley! and I'm being Frank

I'm more worried for us supporters who are we going to blame for being rubbish if he leaves? it can't be all Dom Tyson's fault!! Simple for me - if he doesn't put in as much as is required and commit to the team rules he is out. Goody will not bend and I like it

To every Tigers supporter that ticked GF guarentee last year, - respect

Wow if we are relying on Watts to be our back up Ruck we are seriously struggling. T Mac / Pedo can do the role if Max goes down. Hogan/frost is desperate we fwd/ruck should be high on the recruiting list. maybe Trengove will come in as cover?

no top 10 draft picks in the Crows line up. Goody and crew are concentrating on culture and attitude and it's the right way to go Chin up Ox
-
Anyone actually watched Hartlett the last couple of seasons? average.
-
Watts is currently worth about a 2nd pick. Hard to negotiate when you drop him twice and bag his attitude id prefer Watts to a second round pick. He will never be perfect or tough. But he is very talented player dont blame him for wanting out of Melb though

yeah...that, or there have been 3 KPF that have won either CA or MVP in the same time when zero won a brownlow you know, just using information to back up my argument

Do Melbourne supporters dislike hard players?
DubDee replied to red&blue1982's topic in Melbourne Demons
you neglected to give some examples of hard players No-one more well liked than Viney and no-one harder in the league -
haha the Dees under salary cap pressure? due to all of our stars we have in their prime? we've only ever had pressure to reach 92%. 4-5 years time will be different but there is no way we need to off load anyone to pay Lever's wages

how would dropping Jones from the captaincy improve our leadership? after everything he has and continues to give to MFC, we need to handle him Extremely carefully. he stuck with us when not many would have. He leads well onfield and sets the example off-field with training standards etc. Obviously Viney is a born leader - I think the two complement each other.

don't agree. The coaches more a lot more than the umps 2 key forwards won the coaches award - Barry Hall and Treadrea Reiwoldt won an MVP defenders seemingly get screwed by everyone!
-
I remember Scarlett getting 3-4 votes when he won the BnF for Geelong (pretty sure this is right) The Brownlow is a joke. Umpires clearly don't understand the game. Buddy/Carey can't win one but Priddis/Woewodin do?
-
details!!? what's the young man's name??
-
I'd be surprised if he played more than half a dozen good games for the rest of his career. he has played less than 50% of games over the past 3 seasons and will be almost 34yo when the season starts his body is not holding up. Cats would be mad to give up more then 'the old pick 88'. you certainly wouldn't want to sign him to more than one year

Anyone got Melb votes. Missed the telecast. Cheers.

Love how Jono Brown just called the selwoods out for playing for free kicks and the umps falling for it. Finally someone in the media saying it like it is

hard to see GWS not winning 3 from the next 5 flags now that Kelly and whitfield etc have signed they were smashed by injuries this year and still made the prelim at least the next best teams around are Crows/Geelong/Tigers/sydney. no other power teams around Love Roosy by the way

Jake Lever is no Bernie replacement. Lever will partner O Mac or Frosty as the talls down back
-
i could be wrong he wasn't dropped and was best 22 all year, so what's gonna change over summer? recruit a few guns in?
-
Well done Bernie! could surprise a few next year. He has been an inconsistent player all through his career - probably 3 outstanding seasons, a few good, a few average. I reckon he has another good one left, sit him on the wing/HHF
