I imagine if WC were to use Petruccelle to assist gaining Tim Kelly they’d bundle him up with some picks and ship him off to Geelong (if he agreed). I can’t see the pick they’d get for him from another club assisting with the trade.

He’s played 17 games this season so there’s a chance he’s got his body right, a bit more confidence in his body and consistent games he could come quite good. Given we may not see AVB again, he could be a good replacement.

To suggest we are tanking is ludicrous, I believe Goody refers to it as ‘strategically losing’.

Has he spoken about what his plans are now? I’m almost interested in what players do after football, especially after retiring early.

I don’t think we’d make a decision on delisting a player based on a rookie playing one maybe two games. His papers would already be stamped if we were going to delist him.

20 or so people who contribute to the Herald Sun were asked at the start of this season who would make the top 8. Malthouse was the only person who didn’t tip Melbourne to finish in the 8. He was lambasted at the time. Maybe he’s not a crazy old coot.

What makes him a ‘dangerous forward’? He’s kicked 7 goals this season. He’s having a good season but at his age a one year contract makes sense, two years may be a little risky.

As if Roos would come to Melbourne. No doubt he’d turn our basket club of a club completely around within a few years and make us competitive, only for him to leave and for whoever takes over to undo all his good work and back to a basket case within a year. Who would do that to themselves?
