I read something a few weeks ago that suggested Gold Coast might receive pick 10. I don’t know if draft assistance is what they need, they need to keep the players they already have, perhaps some sort of incentives for them to stay. The incentives don’t have to be forever but it might help them keep a core group of players who would otherwise leave. I don’t see the point in Gold Coast perpetually receiving low draft picks only for them to leave after a couple of seasons.

Is it just my poor judgement or was Grundy completely ineffectual? Huge amount of hitouts but that was a consequence of GWS’ game-plan.

I thought ‘craft’ as in ‘forward-craft’ was an absolute wankbuzzword for ages but I thought everyone else liked it so I never said anything.

All wanky buzz words that have no actual meaning that were made up by ‘institutions’ like Leading Teams etc. Anyone that uses words like these is incapable of having an independent thought and completely lack self-awareness.

The Ablett comment wasn’t directed at you r&b, obviously just a tongue in cheek comment, I think a few too many posters are overrating his season and his ability. I just don’t think Frost could do much better than he did this year, regardless of what club he’s at. His disposal is poor, he appears to have a poor ‘footy brain’. I do love and appreciate his work rate though.

When did Frost become Gary Ablett? First and foremost, Howe is a footy player, whereas Frost an athlete, he lacks footy smarts. He’ll never be anything more than a solid C grader. If we get a second rounder for him it’s a win.

I think part of the reason we got rid of him was a ‘culture’ thing. Regardless of whether or not we’d like him back, it won’t happen.

Yep, and other clubs always seem more willing than us to pay more $ and offer longer contracts to get the established A graders. Also, Tomlinson is all but guaranteed, obviously Whitfield isn’t. I understand they’re on different levels but Tomlinson still fills a need, I wouldn’t want to miss out on him for a 2% chance of getting Whitfield.
