  1. Apparently....Brayshaw’s old man might be in the running for the vacant CEO position at Freo.
  2. Well I think we know who Damien Barrett is on Demonland now.
  3. Fair enough. I’d prefer if we targeted him it was for the backline so May can become a swing-man and have a go up forward. The Carlton supporters I’ve spoken to think we’re crazy if we target him as a pure forward. The games he played down back this year proved he’s a better defender than forward. We’ll see what happens I suppose.
  4. I edited my original post which also made this point.
  5. Technically I suppose it could happen. Personally I couldn’t see a RFA being used that way though. If we were keen to trade picks with GWS as we’re they and Tomlinson wanted to come to Melbourne, i’d Imagine they’d be done as seperate deals with an agreement. For example, we’ll trade you our picks 11 and 13 for pick 3 and we won’t match your offer for Tomlinson.
  6. In relation to your first question I think you’re pretty much correct. In attempting to answer your second question are you thinking along the lines of: He nominates Melbourne and we offer him a contract however GWS match the offer and force a trade?
  7. Far out, Tomlinson is an RFA. He won’t he used as part of a trade or thrown in as ‘steak knives’.
  8. His first game down back was round 10 vs St Kilda after Jones went down with concussion. He played there until round 13 when he was moved forward again then Carlton had a bye in round 14. Round 15 he went back to defence and round 16 he played forward against us. Rounds 18, 19, 20 and 21 he played forward before Jones went down again for the last two games where he was moved back to defence. So that’s 14 forward and 6 in defence. He played a little more in defence than what I thought but in no way is that most of the season. By all reports, he definitely played better down back as well. As far as forward targets go, I just think we have to aim a little higher, he’ll also be 30 before the start of next season.
  9. He’s still classified as a UFA...and he’s a spud.
  10. Where are you getting your information? Or are you just arguing because you’re bored? https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/coupler.foxsports.com.au/api/v1/article/amp/afl/afl-free-agents-2019-updated-list-of-restricted-and-unrestricted-free-agents-revealed/news-story/34a03922d5f74bd43177e70f9b4c027b https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/coupler.foxsports.com.au/api/v1/article/amp/afl/the-afl-releases-the-list-of-2019-free-agents-with-stephen-coniglio-headlining-the-list/news-story/df8d33065e92e6f32e2f3a3fa734f96f https://m.afl.com.au/news/2019-07-04/former-free-agents-among-50-names-added-to-2019-list https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/out_of_contract_players
  11. Which teams in the top 8 have a big lug of a player in the forward line who managed to play 20 games but only kick 15 goals? 1/5th of those goals were against us as well.
  12. He’s an Unrestricted Free Agent. Regardless, still no.
  13. POWER STANCE
  14. Gil said we didn’t tank ‘on game-day’ so that’s good enough for me.
  15. There was an article floating around which I read a while ago. It was about Yze’s time as Hawthorn’s goal kicking coach and how we had 5 or 6 different types of kicks. Many of the players spoke highly of Yze and how he turned their kicking around to make them much better kicks. Getting him is a must.
  16. It’s being reported that he’ll join us. https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/fremantle-midfielder-ed-langdon-settles-on-melbourne-as-his-club-of-choice-ahead-of-trade-move/news-story/d82f71166d16bbf7f025104ba6d7a9b4
  17. Yze first started at the Hawks as goal kicking coach and worked his way up to his current role which is head of match day strategy and opposition. Regardless of who he played for, Yze is exactly what we need, the Hawks are coached extremely well.
  18. Why do people get so hung up on player payments? I read an article recently on how Collingwood have managed there’s. I’m going back a few years but as an example, Luke Ball signed for three years and was paid 550k a year for two years and then base wage (85k) for the third. I wouldn’t be too concerned about what the reported figure is to get Langdon over.
  19. I should have taken the opportunity, I think it’s going to be a while before another win like that.
  20. To whom and where do I send my tab to?
  21. My guess was also that he’d lean towards a media career. And didn’t someone post a few days ago that Lewis was disgusted at the club and won’t be there in any capacity next season?
  22. Didn’t read the article but assumed Cornes was the author.
  23. Same, I wouldn’t want him unless he was a delisted free agent and came free.
  24. He’s a better alternative though to other players who are currently getting a game. I do hope we’re concentrating more on getting an ‘A’ grader and players like McIntosh are just being looked at as upgrades on JKH, Stretch and ANB etc.
