Regardless our clearances have been found wanting and in particular against the top sides when you consider 2 great rucks we have .. it’s fixable and showed for 1 qtr what we are capable.

Got smashed in clearances except for 3rd qtr there is the issue & it’s been an issue all season even with teams we smashed.

In all of our loses we have been smashed in our clearances yet we have 2 xAA rucks?? Is it the rotations in the mid, yet in the 3rd qtr our best mids turned the game around, another 13 games to go so they have time to fix this but concerning as even to lower teams we have struggled

Have lost to Port & Lions in a similar way, getting smashed in clearances with the best 2 Rucks. Yet when our best mids were used we almost won, this strategy of running different players to rest the mids??? really what’s their preseason for? Did we do this in 2021???

Sums up the Afl, we play the cats 2 seasons in a row away .. what’s so hard to play 1 year home & next away???

Why Goody continues not to start with his best mids is beyond me, listening to his presser he acknowledged our clearance issue .. had the best in the 3rd qtr and almost won not rocket science

The draw is a joke .. saints to play their first interstate team away in round 9 & have played once at the mcg & gather round vs Essendon, so 7 of 9 at their home ground .. not sure how that resembles a fair draw , understand they will play more away games in the back half but just reinforces that the afl are running a marketing draw
