  1. If Kent does come in I did say I wouldn't be against moving Lewis down back, freeing up a position in the midfield for one of our forwards. Kent could then take his place in the forward line. Not sure how fit either Kent or Tyson are. But if it rains I would play Tyson, if not, I wouldn't. He might of came 4th in the B&F, but so would have Lewis, and on form - so would Oliver. These are the players Tyson is competing with for that midfield spot. And there are match fit. If Tyson does get a game I am not sure at who's expense (maybe same thing, move Lewis down back).
  2. Hoskin-Elliot was impressive. Should improve with more football. He has some great skills. Few kicks turned over, but is a real player - no doubt. Funny to see some pot him on here, clearly they didn't watch the game tonight, or know much about football.
  3. I see your point. I would still rather have that problem though. Much prefer a fit Dean Kent ahead of Tyson or Harmes. Also, I wouldn't be against moving Lewis to the back line for this game - to cover Vince - and give us a calm head down back. That would essentially free up a position in the midfield for one of the forwards. Kent could then take his position up forward. IMO Kent is a great fit in our side no matter what, whereas Tyson and Harmes are behind a few midfielders. Kent kicks goals, and goals win matches. He would be a headache for Carlton up forward.
  4. I would liked to of seen Kent get a game ahead of the other two. We need more effective players. Even though it is Carlton, at times last week we looked sloppy. Harmes and Tyson are hardly going to rectify that. Look forward to Kent coming back in eventually. If fit he could make a big difference IMO.
  5. Pedders in for Smith. Not sure who for Vince. Hibberd would've been perfect because he can kick. Maybe someone from left field.
  6. Josh Kelly would complete our side. Hope we are into him. Insane vision and execution. Doesn't waste a kick.
  7. A team with Jones, Oliver, Viney, Brayshaw, all running through the middle, its going to be one of fiercest midfields in modern day footy. The way some of these guys hit the contest, it can turn a game. Breaks the opposition down. Something to look forward to. I thought Nathan Jones was unbelievable yesterday. It was a real leaders game. He lifted big time. I think we will match up well against most teams.
  8. I expect this from Hannan. He did things like this last season in the VFL. Kid can seriously play.
  9. Melksham just isn't at this level.
  10. Smith was looking really good, moving well. Those McDonald lads haven't had a great start. Our skills across the board have been terrible.
  11. He is pretty handy. I watched him a few times in VFL last year. More than capable of playing his role in our side.
  12. Yeah he looks average I reckon. Slow, unathletic, and not a reliable kick. Although, they say he is a reliable kick, but I haven't seen it yet. He couldn't make 50 earlier. Not sure that was just a one off shank. But I haven't seen anything in McCartin that would warrant pick 1.
  13. Murphy should get 2 weeks for playing for frees.
  14. Jetta will come in for Melksham.
  15. I think he will reach that level. But I see the similarities also. I see similarities in their ability to hold their feet, and to get the ball out of congestion effectively. I agree with you. But also, I think Oliver has more athleticism than Kennedy. Oliver is more explosive, and he is cleaner inside of the contest - which is quite a feat because Kennedy is one of the best contested players in the league. Oliver is that clean. Hopefully he keeps trending upwards, and one day reaches the heights of Kennedy. Because as you know, there is more to just being a great contested player. There also has to be an outside game. Oliver appears to be developing an outside game now. He is ahead of Kennedy - and many others - at the same point (early) in their careers.
  16. Off the top of my head I don't know their stats - and can't be bothered looking. But after just watching the replay I was impressed with Weideman's intent. He wants that football. I don't think he quite has the body for AFL yet, given that I think he is a pack crasher. He will be a good player. Weideman created goals on the weekend, and stats don't show that. Stats won't show him hand a goal off to Viney in the goal square either.
  17. If there were a poll on this board. Weideman Vs Watts. It would only show two answers - 1. Weideman is great. 2. Watts is useless.
  18. Salem was hard as nails as a junior. Hard at it and a fierce tackler. He possesses all the right attributes to make it as a midfielder. It is just that his body allows him to play that role this year, whereas in the past he was a bit undeveloped and had an illness. Will be a gun mid. Was always going to be the case eventually.
  19. This umpire is absolutely useless. Should not be anywhere near an AFL game. Shocking umpiring.
  20. I love Joel Smith's pressure. He is in our starting 22.
  21. Considering one of their goals came from a freakish boundary shot (from a young rookie), and now the umps just gifted Cunningham a goal (why I do not know). Carlton should only be 2-3 goals.
  22. This is awesome. I could watch us smash sides all day.
  23. Petracca is going to be a headache for opposition sides. Hard match up. Going to be some player. Last week he out bodied Marcus Adams, this week he is pin pointing blokes and moving like Jayden Hunt. What a hard match up.
  24. All Marc Murphy does is play for frees. What a sook.
  25. It is all coming together. A lot of improvement from our youngsters this year.
