  1. Let's hope the Hogan "mail" is as accurate.
  2. The post? From GNF? Since when has that become fact? This joins a very long list of his complete busts, along with the nonsense about Josh Kennedy and Patrick Dangerfield joining the Dees. I'm inclined to think he just got lucky with the Paul Roos mail because everything's been laughably wrong since.
  3. Almost certainly. Turned us down 3 years running -- even if he came crawling back this year, then demanding $700k for the privilege of his services? I'd tell him to get stuffed. You're either in it for the money or you want to experience success.
  4. Yep, the other clubs quickly realised Dion's manager was taking them for a ride. I don't think Richmond are actually in on the joke here -- hint: it's them.
  5. Let's look at all Richmond's first rounders from the last 6 drafts, shall we? Pick 6 for Conca Pick 15 for Ellis Pick 9 for Vlastuin Pick 12 for Lennon Pick 12 for Ellis Pick 15 for Rioli Probably Pick 6 for Prestia. Add that to the elite waits-at-the-back-of-packs-for-a-cheap-handball talents of Trent Cotchin, and premiership glory is all theirs!
  6. Probably because we don't put our name out there in public attached to a player unless we know for sure we'll get them. Just look at how embarrassing the Richmond situation was last year with Treloar. We're trying to prevent having eggs on our face. Comparitively, this just makes St Kilda look desperate. They've said they're attached to Dangerfield, Hurley, Fyfe and countless others, and ended up with none of them. It actually just reflects poorly on their club and reiterates a perception that they aren't a destination club.
  7. I think anyone doing their due diligence in the football department would laugh at paying $700K for Prestia. I'm sure everyone here wishes he'd chosen the Dees, but holy crap, that is an outrageous amount of money for a player with injury concerns. Gold Coast will just point to that salary offer and extend their hand for pick 6, and Richmond will have no foot to stand on saying he isn't worth that much. Clearly he's worth that much to them with a salary offer like that. Consider that Michael Hurley just re-signed for only $100K more and it hits you how insane this is from Richmond. They are a basket case making recruitment decisions due to pressure from their struggling marketing department and wounded pride over Treloar embarrassing them. The longer they delay the inevitable rebuild, the longer they will wallow in the dregs of mediocrity. It is legitimately hilarious how Tigers supporters seem to think the likes of Cotchin, Martin and Riewoldt will take them to premiership glory. They are utterly delusional and this recruitment reeks of stupidity (frankly, from both parties -- Sorry Dion, but you've gone from one basket case straight into another, and Gold Coast will soon overtake the Tigers).
  8. Richmond want Cloke? Oh, my God... they are the club that just keeps giving. A bit like when you think Trump can't go any further off the deep end, he finds a way to surprise you.
  9. Of course the players knew all along what was going on; it's one of the reason nobody's sued the club. They were fully complicit and the club almost definitely has evidence to show that -- which they have probably used to blackmail players into staying. Why did certain players refuse to get involved in the program? Why did they never disclose the injections to ASADA? And why are these questions never asked, point blank, to these drug cheats in their media appearances? The whole situation is a farce and we're being spoonfed a false narrative from the cronies at Rupert HQ.
  10. Why would anyone in the media bring such a thing up? There has been a sustained, 3 year propaganda machine from Rupert's cronies to discredit ASADA/WADA and turn us all into sympathisers of convicted drug cheats... Oh, except when they play for other countries like Russia and China, those guys are filthy, drug cheating scum. And not to mention everyone involved with the AFL itself desperately wanting to sweep the entire saga under the rug and move forward, probably because there's so many skeletons in their former CEOs closet.
  11. What a great few years for the Bombers. Tank at the end of last year to secure Parish and Francis, don't even try this year to guarantee themselves the spoon, probably end up with two picks inside 10 by colluding with Academy bidding loopholes, pay overs to all their banned players with luxurious compensation payments outside their salary cap, then it's just business as usual from next year onwards. The AFL will of course do nothing about it, can't have the Bombers staying unsuccessful for long, can we?
  12. Guess Essendon upped their under the table, outside of salary cap "compensation" payments by a few million, to secure his signature. Convenient.
  13. Why do I get the feeling Corey and Trac are gonna get on like a house on fire? I think Trac's already good mates with his brother, actually.
  14. Roos is quite the clever politician isn't he?
  15. So what if his parents are close to Essendon? Who on earth makes decisions about their career based on the wishes of their parents? It's certainly had no bearing on Prestia's decision to set up a retirement fund at Richmond. And if Hibberd can't even make these decisions like a grown adult, maybe we should steer clear and let him to remain with all his convicted drug-cheating buddies at that pathetic excuse for a football club. I can't even comprehend how any logical-thinking, intelligent person could not hold complete and utter disdain for their employer if they were responsible for treating me like a human guinea pig in a performance-enhancing drugs program. So I say, unless you're 110% committed to becoming a Demon and helping fulfil our premiership aspirations, stay the hell away from our club so we don't waste our valuable draft currency on you.
  16. Of course, neither the sycophantic Dermott Brereton (who would never dare question a Hawks premiership player) and the vanilla wallpaper that is Anthony Hudson would dare pull up their precious guests on downright idiotic comments. The real hosts might have actually pulled Jordan up on his comments, maybe even reminded Jordan that Melbourne were leading at 3QT when we played earlier in the year. Guess Hawthorn didn't bother showing up to that match, either?
  17. Christ Hawthorn are arrogant flogs. Can't stand Jordan Lewis, something about his smug persona irritates the hell out of me. Tonight on 360 parroting on and on about how disappointed they were for "not showing up" against us, giving us no credit whatsoever for the win and seeming to catch himself before making a comment that implied clubs are embarrassed to lose to us, before trailing off in a different direction. How about showing some humility for being beaten on the day by the vastly better team? Can't wait to see your club fall off the cliff as younger teams start overrunning your sniping geriatrics.
  18. I hope sanity prevails for the kid and he chooses sustained success over money and the inevitable bottom-out rebuild (especially after putting up with Gold Coast's stagnating development), but maybe there's more to his injury than we know. In any event, Richmond are the only club dumb enough to give up pick 6 and $700,000 for him, simply due to their wounded pride. Their unprofessionalism over the Treloar snub has been embarrassing, and to allow that to influence list management decisions is beyond asinine. Prestia will not take Richmond to the Promised Land and I think he knows that.
  19. Yep, the system is designed in such a way that they can twist the rules in whatever determination they like to get you off, if you have enough mates in the MRP. Corrupt, farcical joke. Any opportunity for "interpretation" is music to the ears of the AFL, because it gives them the chance to pull the strings for whatever will achieve the best financial outcome. Hence the "big name" players like Cyril, Buddy, etc. always getting off with contrived and outright incorrect rulings of intent and force. The system is rigged.
  20. There is no scenario where they get Prestia without giving up pick 6, unless they trade out one of Martin, Cotchin, Rance or Deledio.
  21. Would expect every MFC coach (especially Jennings) was watching and analysing that match on the off chance we beat Carlton next week and North lose to Sydney. Geelong aren't the invincible superheroes they think they are -- if Richmond can make them vulnerable, so can we. But next week remains our hurdle. Too often we've lost the easy ones because we're focused on other things -- can't make that mistake this week. We have to treat every week as an elimination final now.
  22. Ducking: the last salvation of an average team.
  23. Another impressive win. Storming towards finals now.
