  1. Jesus... Christ... just, no.
  2. It's so cute how Essendon are trying to dictate the terms of disgruntled player movement after implementing a WADA-sanctioned performance enhancing drugs doping regime. Totez cute. If only our humble club could aspire to such lofty heights one day.
  3. Yep, would have some semblance of sympathy... were it not for those flogworthy comments from Swann when we were last asking for draft assistance. Looks like the shoe's on the other foot now, [censored]. Luckily PJ doesn't have a short memory with issues like this -- I'm sure he's keeping that one up his sleeve for now. So Brisbane, get stuffed and sort out your basketcase of a club yourself.
  4. And basically have to sit out this year's draft as a result.
  5. There's no doubt in my mind the Dogs are the closest, when fit, to challenging GWS in the years to come. Followed closely by us once the young brigade have 30+ games under their belt, so 2018. There's a question mark with me for the Saints. I was fuming when we lost to them a few weeks ago, but of their 10 wins, 4 were against us or the basketcase Bombers. Their percentage is considerably worse than ours which tells the tale. Also look at the age profile of both teams and you'll see which team is destined for sustained success.
  6. That's an unnecessary backhander from the skipper if true. How would Weids or Pedo feel hearing that?
  7. Embarrassing. Never going to build a premiership list with rubbish deals like that.
  8. I guess realistically the Dogs look the most likely to challenge GWS without an injury list, but Melbourne followed by St Kilda are comfortably next in line and set up for sustained success (biased but still not sold on the Saints after their senior players retire). I think most here would agree that Collingwood and Richmond have very questionable youth and depth and seem to be stuck in No Man's Land. North and Hawks are about to drop off the perch and Carlton are 2 years off finals you'd think. Geelong basically sold 2 drafts just to get Dangerfield and that'll hurt them badly in the years to come.
  9. Sounds like it will be Essendon or the Dogs according to Jake Niall. He wants guaranteed success, seemingly at the expense of money.
  10. And Mitchell got off too, just to put the icing on the cake.
  11. Isn't he a FA next year anyway? Why would you bother selling the farm to Essendon to get him a year early? We're already going to have to pay overs to take a contracted Hibberd.
  12. I quoted you because it was in reference to ANB and I was also curious to know if we had him locked in for another year to see him develop. Nothing malicious about asking his contract status.
  13. Was a simple question I posed which, despite your insinuation, had nothing to do with wanting ANB delisted. I rate the kid highly and would love him to stay a Dee for life, but that's all clearly too difficult for you to comprehend. Other than that, thanks for your input to my question. Hint: see Tough Kent's simple, straightforward reply to my question.
  14. Well it would have a bearing on whether he's got a pre-season coming up, wouldn't it?
  15. Curious to see how Ainsworth goes tonight. I wonder if we're into him? Would have to trade back into the first round.
  16. AAC, any hints about your info? Figured it was a done deal but good to have some more info.
  17. Easily, EASILY our best win in a decade, especially when you consider the mediocrity which followed all the other ones.
  18. I'm stepping out, can't watch this. I just know the umpires will [censored] us over and gift Hawthorn the win. But credit to the youngest team we've put out in Roos' tenure; made me very proud today with this display.
  19. I would hope every player has the West Coast game etched in their heads right now. And all the other ones we lost at the final hurdle.
  20. This would be the greatest win in a decade, if we can overcome both Hawthorn and the umpiring. When was the last time we ever got a good run from the umps? They [censored] hate us.
  21. I don't think I can stomach the last quarter. I can already picture how the umps will give the game to Hawthorn after the most gallant effort by our list I've seen in a decade.
  22. Time to start playing by their rules and playing the man off the ball. They've gotten away with it for years, why shouldn't we? Oh, and let's start dropping the ball in tackles, throwing, and ducking for free kicks while we're at it.
  23. I think the 6 day break will come back and hurt us in the 4th, but we've done well so far against this [censored] up umpiring. I really wanted our kids to get this scalp today, they desperately needed it. Unfortunately it's headed towards another Hawks vs Bulldogs/St Kilda style robbery from the umpires in the last quarter.
