  1. Gil won't give a [censored], as long as he gets his $2M Christmas bonus.
  2. Thank Christ for Casey is all I can say. Hopefully that's where Goodwin is putting his efforts.
  3. Congratulations, AFL. Your equalisation policy is working a treat. So wonderful that you've basically killed all the Victorian clubs by giving 3 sustained drafts of players to GWS and establishing a rorted system where Sydney get gift-wrapped gun midfielders every year for a packet of chips.
  4. I'm really impressed with the maturity of this signing. Thanks Dees, good decision.
  5. Yeah, because the AFL will come out and fine him. They wouldn't dare face the backlash of the PC police. It will be applauded and Walker lavished with praise.
  6. It's weird, I don't really feel we should take this risk, but I don't want any of the other clubs to get him either. I would really have liked to see him stay at Gold Coast for a change, especially after their investment in him. Certainly don't want to see Norf get him on the off chance he gets healthy again. Much less Hawthorn, whom a healthy O'Meara is the ideal replacement for Hodge, and it's just the kind of good luck BS that always goes Hawthorn's way.
  7. You mean, the coaches might try to avoid another Bryce Gibbs 26 disposals to half time situation with Dangerfield or Selwood getting 30?
  8. If the Drug Cheats get him with PSD pick 1, I reckon I'm just about finished caring about the AFL as an entire sport. It would the icing on the cake for the most disgustingly corrupt saga in Australian sporting history, and the surest sign yet the AFL have adopted a 'Whatever It Takes To Get Essendon Up The Ladder' strategy. Gold Coast may have shot themselves in the foot with this strategy.
  9. What bizarre timing. Not that I disagree with the decision (and we're all about to see that Norf has absolutely no quality youth; they will go full Fremantle next year) but doing this on the eve of finals? Wouldn't you do this after getting thumped by 100 points in the first final, when supporters are baying for blood?
  10. Bolton clearly went in with a plan but our coaches did absolutely nothing to stop it. I think that's the frustrating part. I am staggered that Gibbs, basically one of only two midfielders in that team who aren't complete rubbish, accumulated 26 disposals before half time. That is beyond an indictment.
  11. I would actually like to see Goodwin coach on Saturday. What's the point in Roos coaching in the box now that finals are out of the equation?
  12. People actually miss this one-trick pony? Must be as blinded by his speccies as Collingwood supporters. Half-assed, lazy, low footy IQ, zero leadership and thinks he knows better than the coaches. Why would you want that at a club trying to build a culture of success?
  13. I could be wrong but I feel like our general win rate is far higher when Pedo is in the team. I'm sure he played in the Geelong win last year as well. Has anyone got some facts to back me up, even just for 2016 games that he played in?
  14. Well, very interesting. Not sure what to make of that. Can we assume Goodwin might actually coach in the box next week?
  15. I guess the positive is we still secured 10 wins despite losing to both Essendon and Carlton. Compare that to St Kilda: 11 wins off the back of 4 wins against those two teams. Not hard to see which team is better placed, IMHO.
  16. Hogan really should've signed whatever we offered to him earlier this year. He's got to stop drinking his own bathwater, as do many of his teammates.
  17. I can't see the forest for the trees right now, despite our overall progress. I'm absolutely livid with that predictably awful display. All week long hearing about how much of a percentage booster this game needed to be, but deep down I knew we'd drop this match. Heartbroken.
  18. 1 goal followed by 6 consecutive behinds to finish the game. Just digging and twisting that knife a little deeper.
  19. Hard to split this and the Essendon game for worst losses of the year. I'm gutted right now. It was going to be such an old Melbourne thing to come out today and lose to bloody Carlton. We had to prove people wrong and show we've moved past this kind of heartbreaking, peahearted [censored]. But no, we serve up this predictably terrible performance and throw finals in the bin.
  20. 4 behinds in a row from Hogan and Petracca. Just throwing it away.
  21. We just can't buy a goal, and every time we do Carlton go straight back down the other end and score one. Lazy, leaderless, unaccountable footy. Not one player standing up. I was fuming when I saw Pederson had been dropped, our entire forward structure has fallen apart today and Weideman simply wasn't the right man to come in for him.
  22. Another no-name spud kicks a goal right after the glimmer of hope. So painfully predictable.
