Neal-Bullen is the sort of kid who could play straight away. He's physically more advanced than his mate, Billy. He won't set the world on fire but he'll pay his way. A 150 gamer assured.

Goals: Smith, Morris, Moncrieff

Casey up by 7 points at 1/4 time.

Matty Whelan, Flash Davey and Paul Wheatley are all playing for Chirnside Park FC against Park Orchard today.

King can take a contested mark at 19. He has great hands below his knees for a big man and above average skills. Anyone writing Kingy off at this stage of his development obviously hasn't seen him play or has any understanding of how big who are slight progress.

And to those who say we look leg-heavy and fatigued... You do look slow and leg-heavy when you can't get your hands on the footy.

When teams play every week they don't get a chance to taper. In a sense, they do taper prior to competition by having a light kick and walk around the day before/morning of a game instead of doing a full session as they would early to mid-week. Training during the week is broken into 3 phases: 1. Recovery 2. Conditioning and skill work 3. Pre-game preparation. It's the same with pre-season. It is broken into 3 phases. And in that last phase leading into games the volume/load is taken right back so that players are going into the season fresh and ready to go. Forest Demon has done a great job of explaining our dip in form over the last 3 weeks. Dom Tyson's drop in form? Perhaps the fact he has been carrying a knee injury. He has still been winning the pill but he has struggled to cover the ground (his GPS figures are down) and his kicking efficiency has dropped right off. I'd find it hard to kick with a sore knee too. Luke, while your post is well thoughout you are comparing apples to oranges.

Ro Bail- Killed any momentum Bail made 2 glaring skill errors by foot in the first quarter that stopped us in our tracks. Heads dropped. Unforgivable.

AA, 2 X BF, 4th in a Brownlow, averaged over 25 possessions a game since 2007. I'd say he's been A-grade.
-
He is an additional player. He must be 20 years or younger and must not have been previously listed by a VFL/AFL club.

I like Newton but he is another one-paced mid that we seem to have quite a lot of. None of Newton, Michie, Tyson, Cross, Brayshaw and even Jones are particularly quick. (I know you always look slow when you haven't got the footy.) Freo ran away from us with ease when they spread and were able to keep up with us without too many difficulties when we had it. (I know conditioning also comes into calculations here.) We just looked slow. We need a serious injection of pace into our midfield. Linebreakers apply within.

Chris Yarran is the one bloke on their list who actually has some current value. Carlton would be mad to think about releasing him.

Gaff is very outside and has really trouble with tags. Not sure I'd be prepared to give up what WCE want for him, and that's even assuming he is contemplating coming home. I've heard he's very happy in the West. Scott Selwood far more gettable and a FA.

I reckon after his last 4 weeks he's no longer up and coming. He has arrived! I would love to keep Howie but if he could be used to instigate any move of Treloar or Shiel to MFC I'd sign the paperwork tomorrow.

Footscray v Casey Scorpions - Round 2, 2015
Tough Kent replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Goals: Pedersen 3, Hutchins 2, Bail, Gent, Morris, Stretch Disposals: Toumpas 28, Riley 24, Gent 21, McKenzie 20, Harmes 20 -
You want Bail with the footy in his hands in our defensive fifty????
-
In: Bail, Grimes Out: Kent, Jetta (I hope he is right to go) Ro Bail will be playing for his football life. His one job will be to apply extraordinary defensive pressure in the forward line. Anything else is a bonus.
-
Did anyone hear the Hogan to Freo talk that was just on AW?? My wife alluded to it but couldn't give me any details.
-
Got a link mate??
-
Which player positively suprised you against GC
Tough Kent replied to Henrietta Lumbago's topic in Melbourne Demons
A very selfless game from Dean yesterday, playing as a defensive forward on Malceski. I loved players being team-orientated and playing roles that helped the side. -
WJ: What number did young Billy wear? I liked what I saw from Oscar yesterday. The pace of the game caught him out at times but he got involved, was solid in the air and looked comfortable at the level.
-
I just think nobody cares mate. GW who?
-
Poor $cully. Couldn't happen to a nicer [censored]!
-
Have you got a link mate? What'd he say that ruffled your feathers?

Dawes must play. Mumford is murdering the Saints today and giving his talented mids first use of the footy. He will require working over from our a number of our bigger bodies. Russian will be our most important player next week. He must try and nullify Mummy around the clearances and try and spread with him. Frost will be important here, which means we will require Dawes' height up forward.
