Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off
Tough Kent replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
We need a poll. Not that it would achieve much. It's up to Trenners now. Anyone who thinks trading JT out for pick 12 which could be used in a further deal or at the draft would not help our list is not looking at this rationally. We are desperate to get better. We are a million miles off the pace. This type of deal is a neccessary evil. -

I would do this deal in a heartbeat. Picks 2/3/12 put us in an enviable position and the club obviously has something in the wings. Brett Anderson from SEN is saying the club is potentialy looking at trading out one of our other high draft picks. I love this bold approach to improving our list. Trenners is a limited footballer. Do people want a team of favourites or a team capable of playing finals? -
Nominations today. Bidding is on Monday at 10am.

There has been talk that compensation for FA may be a thing of the past come 2015. No guarantees they will get anything for PD next year.

Jason Tutt was average at best yesterday. He is quick and has a pentrating kick but he makes horrible decisions with the footy and panicked with it the few times he had it yesterday. -

It's said that Luke Lowden from Hawthorn is on his way to PA as a back-up ruckman who can play forward. Throw in that they're in the running for Ryder and they would have zero interest in Russian. -
Back row. Far left.

EFL first division is just about as good as local footy gets. Not bad footy.

I'm sure Terlich and Georgiou would've been watching in anticipation. Some on here would wish they were Redlegs again next year.
-
I thought he was average at best. He can hurt with his disposal but didn't look cool with the footy in hand. Would look to the draft instead.

So the Hawks bring in Ro Bail as cover for Cyril. Like for like. We get what in return? A 1st rounder?
-
Kyle Cheney rarely beaten one on one. He is a trooper.

Is that your read on things FT or did you hear it through the grapevine?

I would rate them somewhere between a .5 to a 4 out of 10. Clear enough?

It's a great game of footy. Lin Jong has some toe. When he puts on some size he might be a player.
-
And I'm sure there is a Jason Tutt thread on here somewhere but he has looked out of his depth today. He kicked a nice snap but he panics with the footy in hand.
-
I'm not sure Hallihan has any stand-out AFL attributes but how good has that James Sicily been? He looks a class player.

We had a really good go at him prior to his signing a 3 year extension. There was some interest from his manager. I'd say we'd be all over him next time he comes out of contract and would be some chance if our list improves and considering his family connections. -
I must be a little naive. I'm still waiting to hear something official from Mitch, his manager or the footy club about MC wanting to move on before I lay the boots in. The old Asics have been cleaned and polished and are ready to go though.

Kicked 4 for Box Hill in the prelim today. Rumoured to be on the way to Port Adelaide. -

What rubbish. I heard three blokes speaking on assorted media outlets about one of their best mates and what a good bloke he is. None had to give him such a glowing endorsement. That's good enough for me. -

You had a dig at me because I said I'd heard Ball, Maxwell and Dawes all speak highly of HL as a bloke. At least I had some evidence to support my opinion. -

I've only ever heard respected people in football like former teammates Ball, Dawes and Maxwell speak in glowing terms about HL and his character. I'll take their word over media gossip and innuendo.
