  1. Bang! There it is. That's a sensational trade period for a team that needs midfield grunt. With the bookends we have we don't need a superstar midfield, we just need to go close to breaking even. If that happens next year we'll win 8-10 games and then you'll see a fist full of midfielders wanting to jump onboard. What I'd be doing right now though is taking names of those saying no, and take great pride in telling them in 12 months time that they can jam it where it counts.
  2. I have no issues with chasing Shaw, as much as I dislike the guy. He needs to shut the [censored] up and play footy, rather than screaming at team-mates and umpires, and giving away stupid free kicks. Considering what Roos did with Rhyce I'm ok with it, although Heath seems to be a bigger [censored]. 3rd round should be enough, and to sweeten the deal considering he's still in contract, I think we should request that Collingwood pay half his wages for the next 2 seasons ala Woewodin.
  3. Would want to know how bad the knee's been damaged first.....
  4. Get him to sign it, it'll be worth a motza in 5 years
  5. Wouldn't drop the bundle just yet. Reckon there'll be some decent trades, it just may not be what we expect, nor what we think is good. Moving in the right direction though
  6. Much more fun than the OP thought....
  7. The only thing missing from the GWS anouncement was '....because he's a ****head'. But I guess what is understood need not be discussed. Is Knucklehead eligible for the rookie draft? Might be his only chance of playing senior football again.
  8. Originally I was all for us taking Dusty, but coming round to the idea that it wouldn't be real clever. So, Dusty's out, I'm hearing James O'Connor might be looking for a code change.......
  9. Not for Saint Kilda it ain't. I see no dwarves being set alight in that vid!!!! They should honestly be too embarrassed to submit an entry considering their behaviour.
  10. True, but there can be reasons. Not liked by coach, surplus to requirements. Having said that it is in a players hands to make himself a required player so you'd think there's something he's doing wrong. Still young though and plenty of time to get attitudes right. I find it difficult to believe it was his attitude that got him in trouble with us after watching that video. At one point the caller said he'd started the movement from the defensive goal square and then delivered the pass inside 50. How many players do we currently have on our list that would even bother running that far?
  11. I wouldn't go that far, but there certainly aren't many skinny kids getting a go at Norf. With they're midfield depth it wouldn't be easy for him to break in so I think it was a poor option of clubs to go to. Not sure if it has anything to do with his skill, it's his size. He struggles to put on bulk and that happens. He still goes hard at the ball so shouldn't have been dumped for that.
  12. After 2 seasons as a skinny kid was averaging over 19 touches and over 3.5 tackles per game - in a below average side. I'd say that's a pretty good return, and quite possibly with a better coach/development he'd be outperforming the No 1 draft pick of his year by now (not too difficult I suppose). Got screwed over by a control freak coach. Certainly ain't no turd!
  13. Couldn't agree more. The kids first game of footy was against Geelong in round 10 2011 and he picked up 26 touches. First game for Neeld was round 19 2012 against Gold Coast. 9 touches. Epic fail from Neeld and the club on this. I have no doubt an experienced coach and someone who had an ounce of people management skills could have brought him on in leaps and bounds. The complete lack of flexibility from Neeld has destroyed our team. Shame shame shame
  14. Surely Riewoldt's used all his bandwidth by now, back to the mirror big fella. Nobody else would watch the crap
  15. LOL Suggest everyone we can muster gets on and 'Likes' that after all the [censored] she sprays in our general direction
  16. Whats the disclosure rules for drugs strikes? If (big if, there's no way of knowing, but it is likely given his history) Martin has two strikes altready is he obliged to let any potential suitors know that? Reason for the question is yes it's all well and good offering him the $650K a year, but what happens if he never gets on the park due to a third strike during the off-season for example? That's my only negative in picking him up.
  17. How would one go about getting his hands on a copy of that?
  18. What are the key dates for FA and Trade periods? Can the players be asked to return for pre-season training 1 week prior to that and told if you turn up without any fitness at all you may as well pack your bags? That single week puts the pressure on them as they won't have 'club time' to get their fitness to acceptable levels, that's the players responsibility. From what Riv was saying when he got to Geelong, the expectation was on the players to have a good level of fitness when they returned and preseason was focussed mainly on skills. We're sadly lacking in skills and need to start putting some serious focus on that, players can run laps anytime, but they need to show they want to succeed before the club perseveres with them any longer.
