  1. ASADA with perfect timeing. Essendon play friday night, the 10 day window to explain to Dank expires today. That gives ASADA all of tomorrow to issue notices (if there are any) to the players. Wouldnt that be a fun start to the season. Walking into the changerooms mentally prepared to take the field and then given a letter from ASADA.
  2. Ill be at the SCG watching the baseball getting heckled by my mates everytime i check my phone for the scores..
  3. Looks like its Geoigiou http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/melbourne-to-be-without-three-firstchoice-forwards-for-round-1-clash-against-st-kilda/story-fndv8pdq-1226856221159
  4. Ok i am a bit of a sadist so i went over to bomber blitz to see how they are coping etc, I have read a lot of posts today and i feel sorry for any of the supporters there that have two feet on the ground. Some of them have suggested things along the line of the club might be in trouble. Its not going to be swept under the carpet etc and have been crucified.. Lucky they arnt in the same room or they would have eaten each other.
  5. Another option in that New Balance sell last years jumpers with the popular collar real cheap.. they even sell the nice and pretty white ones... http://www.newbalance.com.au/Melbourne-Football-Club/163000,en_AU,sc.html And before i get jumped on.... i buy from the MFC shop.
  6. I know most people dont like the footy show here and i will probably be jumped on but as i live in canberra and its delayed and i couldnt sleep and i was also way to lazy to change the channel that late at night i saw them talking about chip and i can remeber if it was the old idiot or the stuck up dhead nth melb pres that mentioned that its been thrown areound that Frawley will resign to the club when Roos does. And gaz confirmed it.
  7. I am actually so excited that the wait is almost over... I just wish that there wasnt a split round this first one.. i just want to see our boys play this year.
  8. I have never played top level sport but i have competed in state level and to somewhat national competitions and have been tested on occasions and i was made well aware that i am responsible for whatever goes into my body. I think the players should have raised their concern about the program if they had any. The fact that they didn’t while it was going on shows how naive they were or how much the EFC lied to or pressured the players. A systematic program of injections that occurred in locations away from the club is different from a player who cops a bump and is given a pain relief injection in the clubrooms during the game. Sure they are both injections but they are worlds apart. One thing im sure of is the players knew they were about to be injected with a substance and agreed to it. I am certain that there wasn’t a medic running around the EFC secretly injecting the players without their consent or knowledge.
  9. Dont think the mental health was a issue for the EFC when they were using the players like pin cushions
  10. I like the idea. I am one of those who on a yearly basis buy a media polo, jacket/jumper a new jumper when there are new sponsors and now my wardrobe is overflowing with years of awesome red and blue gear. This i see as another way to support. I am willing to part with some hard earned per win. IN NO WAY will i ever wish the MFC to lose. If you cant afford to pledge then simply don’t. When we win i don’t see me paying $10/$20 for it a big issue. I am on a tight budget as most of us are but remember we only play once a week. Most of us get paid for doing some sort of work. I am sure some, as i have done, can put aside a small amount to go to the club to celebrate a good weekend when the red and blue bring home the goodies. I doubt anyone is willing to pledge more then they could afford per week. I hope we go through the season undefeated and i can look back and go that it was a awesome year. I don’t understand how there is so much backlash over a scheme that was designed to help our club raise extra funds that they didn’t have before. I know that we as supporters have put our hands in our pockets over and over again and we haven’t seen the results on the field. Its simple, if you want to partake in the pledge per win scheme then do.. if you don’t then don’t. Its not a competition as to how much money you give etc it is just another way you can support the club if you can afford to. I know that i wall have this criticized by those who have time to crawl through my post but honestly i don’t care. i have always supported the MFC and i always will. I put my money into the club through membership and buying supporter gear and i attend as many games as i can. I have seen the good years and i have seen the bad years. I know what it feels like to loose a GF and i know what it feels like to finish dead last. What i want is to know what it feels like to win a GF and if my small pledge this year can somehow help the boys get me there then i know it was worth it.
  11. Well at least you can both now enjoy the opening round on TV then..
  12. I havnt seen to many games at the ground over the last couple of years. I have watched almost every game on TV or replays but out of that group i dont think i could name a stand out number 1 Big Maxy - i am also a massive fan. I would hope that this is a standout year for him and he grabs the number 1 position but that is because i like his style. Fitzy - looks like a half sucked mango with his mouthguard in but also i like him and his play. Spencer - i dont think he has developed as we had planned and that comes down to the development of players we have as a whole in previous years. I would like to see him really dominate as he likes to go in hard but he lets himself down with skill errors King - For a first year player in the system i think PR will be able to develop him into a good quality ruckman. I dont imagine we will see much at all if any of King this year unless we are hammered with bigman injuries or King is a absloute superstar. Jamar - He should have been the number 1 ruckman for the last few years. He should have been the leader in that department for which the likes of Gawn, Spencer and Fitzy should have been fighting for his understudy position. Injury poor form whatever the reason is, he has really stalled even gone backwards from the year he brokeout. I think this year he will be fighting for a start as the ruckman. Clark - I think that PR will use as a forward with only small stints in the ruck if at all. For me it would be Gawn/Fitzy for number 1 with Spencer and Jamar behind and in 5 years King will be established as the backbone of the Talls. If he is not number 1 he would have been.
  13. He also requests that his pizza's get sliced into QTRs because he doesnt think he could eat a whole 8 slices.. 4 is easily done tho...
  14. Adelaide - Half of my cousins are from SA and my mother USED to support them when they first joined the AFL. Now the old man has put his foot down and she is RED and BLUE. I personally don't mind them. One of my hometown boys plays for them. And also they gave us Vince and Riely last year so... Thanks Brisbane - I did enjoy it when we won our "HOME" games up north against them. Of late i don't like the fact that we have thrown away some winnable games against them. Overall i don't mind them. Carlton - DISLIKE... i would rather sit on my testicles. Collingwood - Growing up watching a "adult" male abuse a 15yo girl at the MCG because she was wearing a Melbourne jumper sealed the deal. The fans are all a-grade tools led by a stuck up D-HEAD. The players follow suit and the coach is a F-Wit. Im not saying they arn't skilfull and talented (some of them) but i hate them with the hate of all hates... to put it this way i support, chear and barrack for ESS on Anzac day.. Essendon - I was a Melbourne supporter living in Essendon from 1999-2004 and my hatred stems from that. Family friends played for. My godfather played for... but i hope the ASADA thing wipes them off the planet. I hope they enjoy the new training facility they sell to us when they go belly up. I would put them between Carlton and Collingwood as to my level of hatred. Fremantle - Did like them back when they first came in because they were underdogs etc. My schoolmate ended up playing 190 games for them too. Thanks for the Slivia and Michie switcharoo.. Geelong - Not a fan. I did enjoy watching them loose in the 90's Gold Coast - Dont mind them.. Dont like loosing to them at home. GWS - I like the fact they play a few games in Canberra each year. least that gives me a chance to watch some other teams get a win. I think the sneaky trading/signing of players in years past was good and enjoyable for me when Franklin went to Sydney after months of the giants so smug about them "getting their man". I dont think i actually know a "fan" of GWS. My mate's fiance "follows" them but she is from England and originally followed Collingwood so i cant really hate her for changing to them. Hawthorn - I dont really mind them. I like them i lot more now that the douchbag Franklin is gone. Things might change depending on the free agency period at the end of this year... North Melbourne - I like them. Well really its more like i dont hate them. I dont like loosing to them, but i dont like loosing at all. Port Adelaide - Deadbeats. Deadbeat Players. Deadbeat Supporters (they are the equivalent of a south Australian Collingwood Supporter), and a Deadbeat President. Richmond - I have so many Richmond supporter friends. They have had a fun couple of years giving it to me about our inability to win. But really i still smile. Yes we have had some bad, and i mean BAD, seasons but what is worse.. Losing and not making the finals and now in a position where were looking at a promising few years ahead... OR winning enough games to finish 9th for almost a decade then finally making the finals only to loos to a team that "Officially" finished 9th. On top of that the future of the Richmond football club looks the same as it has the last few years. Finishing midtable is just as if not more so annoying then where we are. St Kilda - Hopefully i can like them after we beat them first round.. until then.. I hate them... Sydney - Well i dont mind them. Yes my girlfriend supports them so i usually go to the games in the swans members area but i have managed to create a drinking game to it. Its a known fact that swans supporters DO NOT KNOW THE RULES OF THE GAME. After the first time she took me and i pointed this out she informed me that i have ruined AFL for her. Then next time i decided to consume a mouthful of beer for every time some swans supporter calls out "Ball" when it clearly wasnt, questions the ruling on the field when it was clear or basically shows their lack of knowleddge of anything AFL. Lets just say im lucky my girlfriend finds it funny and like to buy me drinks. West Coast - I dont like Perth so lets say i dont like the Eagles. Western Bulldogs - They lost me when they dropped Footscray from their name.
  15. There is at least one massive tool in each pic? Thats my guess...
  16. between that picture and the "one Injection" picture... my essendon mates usually shut up shop and go quiet.... Its gold
