I have always had a soft spot for Freo ever since my mate from school was drafted and played his whole career there.... Hawks well my feelings for them can go back to the first Grand final I went to (1988) and we all know what happened then. I hope Freo win in a close match so the hawks supporters hearts get ripped out for a second year in a row. Well I'm sorry to break everyone away from the "who are we going to pick up during trade week/who should we draft" talk but i thought i would push this question out to Demonland to see if i could really have a fun Grand Final Day. I'm having a few friends over for a Grand Final BBQ/Drinks etc day and one of the people coming is a massive Essendrug supporter. So big in fact that i have to watch what i say around him because he knows i like to dig at him. Another friend coming is a Kiwi with little if any knowledge of the game. He is also a stirrer and thinks it would be funny to sit there and ask my Essendrug supporter friend questions throughout the game. Apart from the obvious questions about the last two years involving the meth lab, does anyone else have any questions that they have been asked that are either annoying or just plain stupid. My plan is to not mention the Drug saga myself but have him grumpy through a proxy..

Well my Girfriend is a One Eyed Swans supporter. yeah i know i know... its just nice to see the smile on her face when she yells "Ball" when someone handpasses. But i suppose she likes the pretty colours and loud noises.. Anyway i will be signing her up for a membership this year. She loves Roos and its the first step in converting her into the Melbourne Family..

Just a little buzz i have heard and mostly coming from a EFC supporter and his mates but they seem to believe a deal is done and they loose points, fine etc i tended to drift off as it was mostly rubbish but the thing that made me listen is they think they will lose there points from the 2012 season. I dont understand how that would be a punishment even if there was any chance of it being true?

If this is true, no wonder why Mrs Hird has stood by her man thoguh this whole thing..

This is my first real post on here so no doubt ill probably annoy some people on here. For starters as the name suggests I live in Canberra, so I didn’t see Jack star last night but from what I read he was awesome. When we drafted little Jack, to me, he was branded as the one who could turn things around. Yes the kid has some skills. He obviously show them when he was playing his school footy. It might have been a mistake to put this much pressure on a kid. Playing him in his first game against the morally and socially backward team of toothless thugs probably didn’t help and the fact the first touch in AFL he got thumped. From that moment he could have realised that AFL is the big league played by men with skills who run hard and hit hard too, OR he could rest on the fact that he will develop into a genuine footballer over time. I wonder which option Mr Watts chose. There is no doubt the kid (I say kid because at 22 I was in no way calling myself a man) has skills. He shows them from time to time but IMO not enough. Defiantly not enough to hold off contract talks and effectively holding the club to ransom. Good on him for going on TFS to sell his “brand”. I don’t know if it will do him any good tho. He could have done the club a favour. It is pretty clear that he will look at other offers from other clubs. It could backfire too. What if no other club could see him fitting into his list? What if he only gets mild interest and a really poor offer?. You are only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for you. If he stays or goes, I don’t really care. He has had 5 years to prove himself and to me he hasn’t. If he goes to another club, fine we can use it to get a midfielder. If he stays he could mature in the body AND IN THE HEAD and become a player that he should be. Either way I am not going to lose any sleep over it. Ok so that’s my little rant.

Ill be up there too, By the looks of this guys, we will outnumber the huge supporter base of GWS.
