  1. Yep. On the AFL website they were saying Geelong may need to drop Taylor to account for our smalls. Make them play to our strengths, not the other way around.
  2. Saw Weid give a handball and that was it ?
  3. They've rescheduled the other sunday games too. One now starts at 8pm, all to ensure there is a 3pm game
  4. We've spent so much in draft picks and dollars fixing our backline that we've now got an issue with our forward line. TMac is not really a natural power forward in the same way Hawkins or Lynch are, and while I Still think Weid can come good, we are very light on for KPFs. Richmond might have won a flag with one, but he was a very good one who regularly kicked big numbers of goals.
  5. I thought the recollection was that Brogan did his back getting his boots out of his bag, so Tomlinson had to ruck against cox and Nic Nat all day. My impression was he didn't enjoy it that much
  6. There an interesting table there that shows clearances, groundball gets, effective disposals, score involvement etc. While they are highlighting the difference between Grundy and Gwen, check out who else features prominently. None other than our very own Clarence. 3rd for clearances 4th for effective disposals 1st by a mile for groundball gets 6th for score involvements
  7. Not if we blow a 12 goal lead, there won't.
  8. Why stop at 15? 18 would be best.
  9. Potentially our first rising star nod for how long? Was surprised to see him in, but happy for him to stay. Hibbo will need some injuries to occur to get back in. Edit: Rowell is tearing WC up. 18 disposals an 2 goals to 3 qtr time... Rivers may have to wait for his RS nomination
  10. Not fritta, after today. Reckon Tracc would relish the responsibility, now.
  11. No doubt the selectors will overreact, bring OMac in for a small defender and Essendon's smalls will kill us. I'd bring in Weid and Pickett. Either Jackson or TMac can go, don't really mind which. Jackson is raw but will be good, TMac is terrible atm. Nibbler was good when we were playing well. That's the type of player he is. Hunt ditto. Neither will get dropped, but if hesitate to drop Melksham or Jones either. As bad as they were, they are still (generally) good users of the ball going forward (although chunk is losing it, quick). It'll be a similar game to today's. Essendon are missing a few with injury, as were Carlton.
  12. Has anyone seen the post game footage of Harmes with the camera? This is why the sung the song without Max; Harmes was revving them up to sing it as soon as they got in the rooms. Honestly, it's cringe worthy.
  13. I'll be putting ny phone away for 25 mins. Still can't handle the close ones
  14. Ok, they need to kick as many goals in the last as they have all match. We need to kick 2 and we win.
  15. I'm in Canberra too. I'm listening on the AFL app
  16. Listening to the ABC. Why do they allow Marc Maclure commentate Carlton games? Calling them 'our boys' every time he opens his mouth.
  17. Josh Mahoney on Before the Bounce reported: Weideman And Brown both kicked 5-6 goals AvB and Hannan played the whole game
  18. Interesting that we've gone with essentially 8 backs. Seems to indicate one of them may be involved in midfield rotations, especially as lever doesn't come off the ground.
  19. Hunt in is a surprise, as are Lockhart and OMac out. Happy enough with the other outs.
  20. I agree re: hibberd, but not sure if Smith has done enough to pinch his spot just yet. I'd forgotten about Hore. May be one looking for other opportunities next year
  21. I forgot about McGovern. Easy to do, given his year last year. In that case, Hibbo out and OMac in. My selections weren't based on either rewarding form or OMac bashing, simply match ups. If there's only one tall, I'd let May take them and bring in another medium size for run and carry.
  22. It's an interesting conundrum. Blues won't have a particularly tall forward line. No Curnow, McKay (i think), Kreuzer still injured. Not sure who else they have. Do we really need 3 talls down back? If not, then it's May, Lever, Salem, Harmes, Lockhart, Jetta and one of Hibbo/Smith for me. I'd love to see Rivers, but not yet. OMac in if they have 2 talls.
