  1. I suppose we don't even know what the revenue sharing model will be from here. May not simply be 'home team gets gate receipts' anymore. We'll have to wait and see
  2. And it's our turn to host, isn't it? Damn
  3. Thought Dais was a bit stiff but hard to fit 4 Dees in. Paxy is a star. One of the all time greats of women's footy. I was listening to the ABC in January and one of the AFLW commentators and former coaches was asked who she would take between Paxy and another of the all time greats (can't remember who). She chose Paxy.
  4. The OMac haters are really standing out today. He did a very good job on Darling, and for the most part looked more confident and proactive. But according to some, he should never play another game and was as good as useless.
  5. Gus still has no defensive bone in his body. Of all our inside kids happiest for him to go at the end of the year
  6. OMac playing well, at least. Don't think he's lost a contest and has looked far more proactive.
  7. Our press leaks like a sieve We're unaccountable at stoppages We still can't kick for goal They can't miss
  8. Instagram stories seem to indicate they flew yesterday afternoon.
  9. Can think of no better way than a major redevelopment of the MCG precinct and Richmond Station
  10. Both Brayshaw and Viney are named starting in the forward line. That gives us a few chop outs. With shorter quarters and langdon/Tomlinson playing close to 100% game time, we should be ok.
  11. I wish he was....
  12. Not sure which is worse. Having no crowd noise or having to listen to James Brayshaw commentating...
  13. Gary taking every precaution, given he's at least 87 so in one of the high risk groups.
  14. Yep, helps if I read the post properly ? Now on Facebook
  15. Thought this would be a bit of fun. Was going to do it by myself. But my 4 year old (who only 2 weeks ago told me she wanted to say "Go tigers" ?) saw me in my gear and decided to join in. Now she's running around the house in my Dees gear, saying "Go Maxy, Go Dees, we're Dees dad!" ?? Demonland - saving father/daughter relationships since 2020.
  16. Ha. Good on Freo for trying. Desperate to finally get some silverware.
  17. The comment was after looking at Conference A and seeing that, if we were on it, we would still be second. We may miss finals again despite winning more games than 2nd place in Conference A. But you're right, We only have ourselves to blame. Again.
  18. That may be season over. Carlton one game ahead of us now, and we have Freo and Suns to come. They have Freo and WC. Looks like we'll be dudded by the conference system again
  19. Smashed on the outside, wasteful once inside 50. O'Dea is a liability once they get it on the outside.
  20. This is that game we always have at least once a year. More of it, more scoring shots, and we get done.
  21. What's the point of shortening matches? Shortening matches won't shorten the season, only less games will. It won't make the season go faster, unless they play mid week too to get 1 1/2 - 2 rounds into a week. It won't lessen the chance of contracting Covid 19, as it takes about 15-20mins of contact (I think I read somewhere). Unless matches are shortened to 10 mins, what's the point? It won't really lessen the load on players, they'll just go harder later in games. I don't understand what they are trying to achieve.

Full training album. Nice to see Salem back out there https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/576340/training-gallery-march-14
  23. I had trouble thinking of the 4-10 range, outside of Rivers and OMac. But you've listed a few I'd forgotten. May is, at times, a very good kick but can miss the easy ones at times. Trac likewise, but generally when it's a long kick or he doesn't have time to think about it (On the run, etc.) he is an excellent kick. When kicking for goal or from a standing start he seems to have too much time and fluffs them. Jetta is good but safe kick for me. I don't see him trying anything too difficult, which may be because he knows his limitations. But I also think it rules him out of being one of the best. Harmes is a bit Jonesy-like. Started as a bit of a butcher but has obviously worked hard at it. I'd still prefer the ball in Salem's hands, but it isn't heart in mouth stuff like TMac was coming out of defence. I'm quite excited about Rivers. I know it's early days and we've hardly seen him play, but his kicking against North, and the fact he didn't go into his shell when he missed a kick, is a great sign, I think. I don't think he'll be the best of the draft haul (Jackson and Kossie look special), but I think he'll develop into a more than reasonable replacement for Hibbo.
  24. He's one of our better kicks when given time and space, but I wouldn't have him in the top 3. For me, it's Salem, Melksham and Fritsch in the top 3, and while very very early days Rivers seems to have a very nice kick and could easily push into that group. OMac, for all his faults, is also a nice kick. I'd group Jones around the 5-7 range.
  25. Huge result for us, footy wise. But will anyone buy a membership if they can't go to games?
