Brodie Kemp (drafted by Carlton)
If he hasn't lost his explosiveness/pace then I'd love to get him, either at 3 or 8. His height would make a big difference in our midfield where we aren't tall, and he can move forward. Kemp rotating with would be very nice.

How do you rate our trade period?
I gave us a B. I think we're a better team with Frosty, but it will be dependant on May and Lever staying fit. Tomlinson and Langdon are very good ins, especially Ed. Tomlinson will provide a lot of versatility and gives us at least one mid/winger who can push back hard to help out. Langdon is the run we've been screaming for and if he tidies up his ball use will be a weapon. We had to overpay to get 8 in the door. Why else would North have dealt with us? Unfortunately that meant giving up a low second rounder but I'd rather have 8 than 26 and 15+ next year. Would've liked Jenkins as a back up but if Weid is fit expect them to pick him. Not sure Jenkins wants to play VFL. Hopefully we can either extract maximum value from GWS for 3 or take it to the draft, make them pay up for Green and who we want anyway. I'm not set on serong but Young/Kemp plus weightman, I'm a happy man.

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
Yoko said in another post that the player had been mentioned and they'd said it wasn't them, just to throw us off the chase.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
You're probably right. Not sure what academy picks they have next year but the may get the double whammy of solving their current issue for next year.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Would be seriously good trade for us. We may have to throw something in, but I'd be happy to lose a 2nd or 3rd next year to get a first back.

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
This is true. It'll be interesting to see what happens between now and the draft

The Dees/Roos Pick Swap Update Thread
You probably don't need to go to the trouble, DL. Given what this place is like at the moment, I'm sure we'll be kept well and truly up to date on this pick for the next 12 months (and longer if we have a bad year).

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
I'm kind if hoping it doesn't. As good as pick 6 is, it means 3 top players (plus Green) are unavailable. It makes GWS stronger and potentially means we miss who we really want with 3.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Isn't Green exactly what Essendon need? An inside bull? There are too many AFL journalists with no idea...

Splitting Draft Pick 3
https://amp.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/why-gws-will-feel-more-comfortable-if-sydney-trades-pick-5-for-joe-daniher/news-story/d2383897da8ea7505206f0d4e881531d?__twitter_impression=true Sounds like this article may allude to GWS' plans for pick 6, but I can't access it...

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Too hard to really determine if we should split it or not without knowing the deal. Should we split it for a top 10 and late first round; may be. Should we split it for whatever the cats have (two late firsts); no way.

2019 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver
He had a good year (not great), but needs to use his run and carry more. He's explosive, but too often hives the dinky handball rather than busting through packs. Hopefully Burgess can get him to work on this, and then the coaches can convince him to use it. He's quick; you just wouldn't know it because he rarely uses it.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
There's a Jon Ralph article on the Hun website that talks about our pick 3, but I can't get around the pay wall...

Josh Mahoney in the Media
Bummers looking for a ruck. Not sure they would have offered much (and not sure our ruck depth could take him leaving).

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Apologies, yes. Was looking for the Report that Dees were looking to swap and didn't check the time of the tweet. Surprised the Trade Radio guys didn't ask whether Mahoney had anything else planned.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Mark Stevens reporting GWS will swap 12, 18 and their first next year for Adelaide's 4. Would be a big gamble if they then don't swap with us, especially given our history of bidding in players. Pick 4 and something else for 3?

Splitting Draft Pick 3
We'd need to send something else. He was a first rounder last year who they rate highly. Either future 2nd or future 3rd to them also.

Brad Hill
St Kilda shafting Freo is my favourite move of the trade period. We could land Bontempelli from here and it couldn't get better than that ?
-
Gaff or Andrew Brayshaw Rumour
They are talking a future first next year along with 14 and 24, then a later swap of picks. Big haul for the cats, but not Judd-like

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
But didn't yokozuna say the player was out of the media? If so, it can't be Bruce... might well be membrey though, which is worse. He really is the current Kent Kingsley

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Can't find it now. Looks like it's been deleted?
-
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Welcome Adam! Hopefully he can push back and forward from the wing so Max doesn't have to kill himself doing it all. And he'll be a better relief ruck than TMac or the Weid.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
I'm not sure we can trust the Ellis comparison. Ellis's compo was just short of a 1st rounder according to the AFL. But I'd be amazed if it didn't hit that and the AFL were reacting to the media noise about the reigning Premier getting a first rounder for a player they haven't fought to keep.
-
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
The only way it gets done for next year's 2nd round is if Freo have a few academy players next year they need points for. Cal Twomey has said next year's draft is weak, but stacked with academy and F/S picks (apparently 17 of the 22 U/17 futures players are already tied to clubs).

Farewell Sam Frost
No-one would know where to lead. Frosty doesn't know where he's going most of the time.
