CHANGES: QF vs Brisbane
Mentioned in the injury report. “He’s giving himself every chance and we’ll see how he progresses later on in the week" https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/1007697/injury-report-smooth-sailing-for-finals

The 2021 All-Australian Team
Goody would be a deserving coach, but I wouldn't be surprised if they gave it to Longmire. Sydney weren't expected to be anywhere near it, where as we have under performed for years. Goody isn't really seen as a great coach yet, I don't think. That'll change should we win it all

The 2021 All-Australian Team
Nic Nat had the fourth most clearances this year. I think his impact has been enormous. Gawn is a much better mark but has only kicked 11 goals to Nic Nat's 3. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Nic Nat as the starting ruck.

The 2021 All-Australian Team
I don't think they'll pick May, although they should. Weitering or Andrew will get the pick with Lever, Aliir and couple others. Interesting if Gawn is starting ruck or on the bench.

POSTGAME: Rd 23 vs Geelong
I jumped on the Dyl & Friends podcast bandwagon last week. The interview with Max is well worth a listen. Interesting when he talks about being made captain, and that others have very different styles of leadership, including Viney who has a lead by example style. I think Max was leading by example on Saturday. Also interesting that he said he felt his job was to make new draftees comfortable, and wanted them to come in to a very different environment and culture than he did when he was drafted.

God I hope it's not us. Terrible conditions, even with BBB in the team

Is hunt expected to be fit? I thought he had surgery and was out for 3-4 weeks

Clash Strip in Finals
Happy with it, there is a bit of history to it. At least it isn't some of the others we've had. Would prefer the Navy, obviously.

Finals 2021
Torn between wanting the dogs to go out first week and the Bombers keeping their finals win drought alive...

Trade Targets
Pendles has said he could step away from Collingwood if another club offered him a contract that included a move in to coaching. Would he get a game with us, and would he want to come and try to win another flag? https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-2021-scott-pendlebury-contract-playercoach-leaving-collingwood-teams-interested-fremantle-gold-coast-news/news-story/831639030e67d900786e1ab247f459d5

FINALS: QF vs Brisbane
Should be able to play where they want. If it means three games in a genuine footy town with a genuinely beautiful footy ground, so be it

Petracca post match interview
Calling it. Next captain after Max. Him or Lever clear standouts. Tracc's interview from last year on the Dyl and Friends podcast worth a listen. I forgot he spent pretty much his whole first year with Trenners in rehab. He said he idolises Jordan Lewis too

POSTGAME: Rd 23 vs Geelong
I was dreaming about what could happen in 4 weeks while sweeping the yard today. And Spargo came to mind. He's so understated, he could kick a goal like that after the siren to win the Granny and he still wouldn't celebrate. Would walk up and receive his premiership medal and just give a wave. Love him

Welcome to Demonland - Picks 18 & 19
So is it roughly 18, 19 and 32 for 18, 25, 68 and 69 (2021 picks bold)? Awesome trade

The umpires don't have a feel for the game, so always pay insufficient intent when it's obviously not

CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Geelong
With no pre finals bye and the chance we don't get a home final, do we bite the bullet and rest a fee guys? Prime candidates Gawn (Bring in weid), Clarry (Viney), Salem (May back, Smith stays), Kozzie (Bedford). Any others?

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
I'm assuming the Gus/Sparrow/Jacko centre square at the end was because the big guns were on the bench being looked after
