  1. Could it be that all of May, Lever, Gawn and Jackson have been injured/ill at some point in that period? So we're either missing or below their best?
  2. The podcast is often filmed before Goody's presser and the Injury report. And they aren't always up to speed on the news at the best of times
  3. Better bring some TP for him to clean it up...
  4. Back in a trade or good news coming?
  5. Almost as stupid as belting it indiscriminately when no one goes up against him. I love Max, but God he does some stupid things.
  6. Please win Port. Please!
  7. Enjoy your premiership in July, Cats. God I hate them
  8. Yep, all focussed on how they can fit him in the cap, not how they satisfy a trade
  9. Yep. Knee soreness for Brenny
  10. Just doing his due diligence. I'd be amazed if Gus left
  11. Yeah look, I'm not interested in arguing with you, LN. You took what he said one way, I took something else out of it. Yay for us.
  12. I went back to listen and while I may have paraphrased poorly, I don't think you can argue it wasn't in the context of what he is worth. They were clearly talking in the context of him likely leaving, and clubs asking what their reward for taking a player like Jackson at three. They weren't talking about taking a tall early. They are clearly talking about taking a player who then wants to leave after three years. And that is a legitimate question in regards to what he is worth, in that we took him at pick 3 and what do we have to show for it if he leaves? So I took his response "They got their reward" in that context.
  13. One media pundit (I'm sure it was Barrett) actually said that we can't ask for much, because he won us a flag. And the fact he was previously pick 3 doesn't matter ecause we've got our return. Given this is the calibre of people working in the footy media, I'm not holding out much hope of a reasonable discussion on his worth.
  14. So, the actual reason (according to Joel Smith's insta) is Fritsch beat Salem in a competition. But I don't want to rule out the overwhelming Jacko content and the social media manager using the photo in a contract context...
  15. That's our turf
  16. Does anyone have access to the article? Is it anything new?
  17. Plus then they get to plan a trade for next year. And they get more than they paid for him
  18. I think this is where we need to be really strong as a club. We need to tell him that, if we take at face value he is genuinely homesick, then we'll facilitate a trade in good faith. But it's to whoever gives us the best deal. And then we say to Freo and WC, cough up and we WILL trade him to whoever offers us the most, no walking him through the draft WC or he goes to Freo, no low balling us Freo or he goes to WC. If he doesn't like it and wants to nominate a club and screw us over, then we tell him 'No deal, enjoy your year at North'.
  19. Jon Ralph reporting freo is confident Luke will leave, and he has apparently told some friends he wants to get to freo
  20. On the plus side, we're in a much improved position compared to HT of round 23 last year...
  21. Yep, edited the post just after. Too quick
  22. TMac and riv the only ones missing from our premiership team
  23. Worth a read re: North's early season justification of their form. Talks a lot about GPS and running numbers, which sounds oddly like the Neeld era. I remember someone recently (may have been Jonesy) talking about that era, saying our running numbers were amazing. But that doesn't help you if you can't play footy. “In terms of definitive KPIs, our pre-season GPS comparisons (these are confidential, by the way) showed that the total volume of distance covered across the group increased year on year by 10% and the high intensity running and sprint training volumes were both up by over 30%. Clearly coming off a low base.”
