  1. My understanding is that he umpired the Dogs (v Norf) the previous week. Doubt they'd schedule him 3 weeks in a row.
  2. I did notice that on occasions last year. Can't recall seeing it this year.
  3. Well done James. The Trac and maybe even Hunt to come.
  4. I'm ashamed to admit it, but I left that game at half time. I don't think I've ever left a game early in more that 30 years. I even sat out the 186 game. Listening to the radio the boundary rider (Tiffany Cherry?) made the comment that the Dogs players were coming off absolutely knackered. I predicted that they would get flogged by West Coast the following week at Subiaco, and they did (by 77 points). They had beaten West Coast by 10 points at Etihad in round one. Obviously, limited rotations, a heavier (probably) surface, and a larger ground do not favour their game style.
  5. I was at the game and Trac was right in front of me when he ran on to the ball. He didn't try to pick it up, but rather fed it on to the outside of his boot (according to the radio). I'm sure they played it on the big screen behind the same goal taken from a different angle.
  6. Robbo interviewing Jeff White. Kalani running out with Stephen Newport's number on (may also have been his dad's).
  7. Looking forward to a big day starting with a pre-match brunch at the RACV Royal Pines. Robbo, Goody and Jeff White to address the gathering. Wondering if anyone will ask what happened last week. Magnificent weather.
  8. On Sportsbet it is $1.92 each of two. Money must have come in for us as we were underdogs (marginally) on Sunday.
  9. Would Hulett be a like for like replacement for Frost? Just don't think Frost has the skill level required and doubt he ever will.
  10. The public school v private school comment was funny. According to Max there's only 5 players on our list educated in the public system including Col Garland 'coz there's no private schools in Tasmania'.
  11. I appreciate that this is somewhat off-topic, and I didn't see it myself, but apparently David King pulled off a good sight gag last week during the half time break in the West Coat v Tigers game when he walked past the cameras carrying a microwave.
  12. Pardon my ignorance, who are Casey's rucks - Pedersen, Max King?
  13. Re the punt: I got on the Dees for $2.80 two weeks ago. BTW, I've had some luck this year, putting $5 on Danny Willett @$81 to win the Masters.
  14. My point. I doubt that he'll debut this week, meaning he'll play against the Saints or debut against the GCS, which would not be a hit with fans I would have thought. Doubt he'll play the next three weeks with Casey.
  15. Just on Petracca. you'd think if he doesn't get a gig this week, he'd have to play next week. The club would not be so cruel to us as to have him debut at Metricon (would they?).
  16. Hamish McLachlan knows the family through a connection with Uni Blues.
  17. On a similar vein, I enjoyed it when Rex Hunt and team would go through the Zarzoff family tree. We had Rudy, Bluey, Shagga ...
  18. Cheney run it out of the backline only to bomb it high - Swans mark and a kick back over Cheney's head and a goal results. Swans hit the front on the 3/4 siren.
  19. Swans v Crows is a cracker. Two points the margin at half time.
  20. Lions hit the front. What little of the game I've seen, they deserve to win.
  21. The two 'not 15' decisions on are the Herald Sun website. Each kick every bit of 15m. If you didn't see it. the kicks were in succession (first one a kick in) and cost the Saints a goal. Drain Russell comments that the second kick was close to 20m.
  22. "ian Nankervis" = nervous for those who haven't caught on. BTW my mates reckon I've swallowed the Strine dictionary. On another note, the Nankervis bros. were referred to as the Leyland brothers for their penchant to traverse the entire backline when moving the ball forward. And, no, I ain't going to explain who the Leyland brothers were.
  23. The 'boo meter' will be interesting: Howe, Kennedy and H. I suspect the latter will take the chocolates.
  24. Not sure if it's fact, but my mate said we started favourite five times last year and lost four of those games.
  25. I saw the segment.Hell Bent summed it up. No mention that Dank gave Dees any drugs.
