  1. Goodwin. Deemania thinks thinks his play on words is a Goodone.
  2. I hate it when DL'ers use four words when one will suffice -'learnings'.
  3. This one Harry.
  4. Harry. Nope
  5. Petty. Good mark. End of story.
  6. I'm tellin' youse all somethin' most of you already know, Disco will be one of our best inside the next 12 months. Great one grab mark, beautiful kick, makes great decisions. I'd like to see him forward but that'll depend on who comes in - TMac, JvR and/or MJ. AJ certainly to miss next week so JvR will get the nod you'd expect.
  7. You're right. There's players like May (early), Langdon, McVee and even Clarrie who aren't switched on. Sharp - good sub but can he start a game. We may never know about Laurie.
  8. In all honesty we all expected AJ to do time sooner rather than later. At least he's taken out one of their key players.
  9. You bewdy Chin. Ed, Sharp one, where are youse?
  10. Bye bye AJ. Bugger.
  11. I've said it umpteen times - Petty is lost as a forward.
  12. Turner forward. Petty back - on Keeler. May - bench.
  13. Langdon - 1 tackle. You're needed Ed.
  14. It's all well and good to say he's polling well internally, but up until 5 weeks ago how many of our players were anywhere near their best, save for Chin and Bowey? Whose place in the current mid-fleld would Jack take? Kosi, Trac, Clarry, Rivers, Langford? Viney is the tackle king, but we need midfielders who can deliver the ball precisely. Play him forward (in place of Spargo) and his tackling could give us even better i50 efficiency.
  15. Cooper Sharnan is developing into a very good player. He's booted 17.11 to-date including 3.3 in the Saints loss last week. He took 9 marks in that game. Disco's oponent?
  16. I really like the current mid-field mix (Trac, Clarry, Riv, and Kosi). Like the forward mix, things had to change. I love Viney's in and under and tackling, but too often his poor disposal costs us dearly. The current game is all about speed. Jack is among the slowest players on our list. If he comes in it would be at Spargo's expense. TMac is stiff to be missing out. JV7 maybe also. Add JvR to that list. On what basis can you claim we would we be better if all, or any, of these players were in the team? Goody has made some tough decisions. I admire him for it.
  17. Two points: TMac is not our future. Petty is. Second point - we're winning games with the current forward setup. Why mess with it?
  18. Garry Lyon tonight pointed out the difference in our scores from inside 50 since Fritta and JvR were replaced with Petty and AJ. We've moved from 18th to 4th. AJ may not have kicked a goal yesterday*, but neither did JvR in his last two appearances. No change for mine unless Spargypants is rested. I'd give JV7 another week off. * AJ dropped a 'sitter' that he would have goaded from. Get some games under his belt to give him some confidence.
  19. And Petty would perform similarly at centre bounces. That's why, IMO, it's imperative that AJ is in the team each week. Probably against Ladhams tomorrow.
  20. We need AJ to relieve Max. Apart from the fact that he's significantly a better ruckman than Petty or Turner, Petty is too prone to copping a cookie or similar when rucking. Viney for Sharp. Disco forward. Petty back - far more accurate than Petty. BTW I was disappointed with Sharp's performance. Three dropped marks albeit that included a contested overhead.
  21. You pearler.
  22. It’s not you I quoted. It was part of Spirit of Norm Smiths post that I quoted.
  23. No way will Spargy Pants be dropped. ANB was our best link player. Now it's Spargy. Not prolific but not wasteful.
  24. I think you find that the average attendance at Dees v Hawks games over the past 5 years or more has been around 40k. They turn up when it's a Hawks home game, and for the past 5 or 6 years (maybe more) it's been a 'make up' game given they play 2 or 3 home games in Tassie.
  25. Nah. I reckon he marks the ball coz he's too lazy to bend down and pick it orf the ground.
