  1. Whats your view on the game so far Saty?
  2. Nothing wrong with the kids and how they are tracking. It is the limited impact and lack of leadership of those with experience Jones, Lewis, Tyson, T-Mac, Watts etc..
  3. Please don't let Dom Tyson speak. Number 1 in the league for trailing his player to the ball. This performance is a true embarrassment after the intensity we proved we could play with against the Crow for 4 quarters 2 weeks ago. Lewis is playing like the shadow of what he was. I would prefer him to play on the line and get outed 3 times a year than the rubbish he is displaying currently. How Bugg got a game again is beyond me. Not many can hold their head high so far but as we are now half decent we are still a sniff. Doubt any of them can bother to pull their finger out to actually win it.
  4. Add Tom Bugg to my list of dumb footballers.
  5. We changed our gamestyle to limit them with the wind. Would like to be one goal closer but hoping we play some smart footy with the breeze. Dom Tyson is a very lazy very dumb mid. I am getting quite over it with him.
  6. I had a good look at him last night and can see why we are interested regardless of his last name. We don't really have mids that have speed that can play outside and really push for metres gained. This and he still fits our competitive inside mantra. He can also add to our half back run creating further flexibility with Hunt for 2018. I suspect his outside game and kicking will also look better on the bigger space of the G. Its a matter of convincing him and the rest would take care of itself. You would think if he doesn't stay there we would have to be the option.
  7. May is exactly what we need and should be gettable. He is out of contract. Convince him we are the home for him and the rest will sort itself out for something fair and reasonable. We also need to find some further outside midfield speed for the wings and flanks.
  8. 6. Hibberd 5. Frost 4. Hannan 3. Viney 2. Jetta 1. Pederson
  9. We lacked spread first 15 of both halves which cost us the game. We continued to bomb it to no one. Effort at the contest was par but the first point and shocking turnovers (jones) coupled with missed opportunities (Bugg) cost us. Trac, Salem, Clarry, Hunt all had quieter than normal impacts. last week was no more than an incremental improvement rather than a break out moment or false dawn. The rollercoaster continues. Reset and go again.
  10. Ignore my post I thought he was out of contract end of this year and forgot he had signed an extension til next. I think if he was out this year he may have looked for other pastures, cant see Saints not persevering. For his style of play and body type and the way the game is going he needs a massive engine and he doesn't seem to have the capacity to build one. Think he will end up a good player but it will take time and good is his cap. He certainly is no Trac.
  11. I reckon Paddy's next club will benefit. This all seems to be moving to him wanting to leave at the end of the year I reckon.
  12. That appeared to be the case. Great double page piece in the Herald Sun today on Trac. The paper version has a comparison table of Trac v Fyfe v Bont and one other I cant recall on their first 25 games. Very comparable granted neither of the other two missed a year with an ACL. Curious to see if he starts in the pivot today?
  13. Luff was steadfast in his view, even when SEN footy analyst David King questioned how a player that averages 10 disposals per game could be the AFL’s best small forward. “He averages 2.5 groundball gets inside 50 per game, his pressure is number one in the competition, he forces the most turnovers from his pressure in the game, he has an accuracy of 74% and he’s kicking 2.5 goals per game,” Luff replied Take that to the Lab Kingy
  14. Thoughts with the big fella. Neither he nor we can take a trick at minute. Look forward to seeing him back in the number 1 smashing packs soon after he gets through this battle. Once again though I am so proud of the way the club has handled this from not leaking last week to the way our boys kept their heads together to represent on Saturday to the way Mahoney and Zeeshan handled today. How great is it to support a professional club unified at all levels that has great care for their people.
  15. That is our best game I can recall from a leadership POV. They were good early when we needed to start well, they were composed and helped reshape us when we got behind in the second. They were vital to retaining composure and maintain structures as they tried to come at us in the last.
  16. Should we be worried that you know this Jaded?
  17. If Hunt is fine unless Hogan is right I suggest it will be no change. Hannan for Stretch is the only one I could consider (with Bugg playing Hannan's half forward role).
  18. 6. Hibberd 5. Petracca 4. Viney 3. Salem 2. Jones 1. FRost
  19. That's the break out game. No turning back now. That's how you play for 120 minutes (ok maybe for 110). Petracca is a very special player.
  20. Yep. Have just reached for the scotch to try and get me through. Lets see what we've learnt and whether our leaders stand up and whether we can show some composure on what I suspect will be significant pressure. Come on Dee's.
  21. Great to see us arrest momentum inside a quarter. This game is there for the taking if we come out fired up and take our chances in the third. Hibberd and Lewis are such great additions to our side. Tyson is seriously out of form (or maybe not as good as we hoped) and Kent and Hannan need to show some desperation. I would be happy if one of them just tagged Laird all second half and ignored the ball. I would be playing CP in the middle at every opportunity and rest him forward, he makes a massive difference when in there. I cant wait until he has 2 more preseasons and can do it for most of the game.
  22. Start well. Win the clearances. Negate the half back run of Laird and Smith. It's hard for their elite forward 6 to kick a score if it's never down there. Move the ball forward quickly and hit up short forward 50 targets rather than bomb. Play CP and Hannan deep and hope one has a 4-5 goal game.
  23. Win the clearances. Negate the half back run of Laird and Smith. Move the ball forward quickly and hit up short forward 50 targets rather than bomb. Play CP and Hannan deep and hope one has a 4-5 goal game.
  24. Received 3 coaches votes which validates impact on result. Got alot of hitouts but we won the clearances, moreso he as dangerous pushing forward and back unlike Pedo. Rose coloured glasses don't help you on the occasion you have a good point to make.
