Jetta offered one-match suspension

Was it even high? It looked like it was late and down the middle of the chest. What a joke. -

Post Match Discussion - Round 15
Lil_red_fire_engine replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Our skill execution in the first 40 minutes was horrid. Surprisingly we cleaned up the clangers and got back into the game. Too many players who are not clean with ball handling, quick of decision or crisp of disposal. Two more quality mids required and they will make the world of difference. -

I know we are rewarding play your role but this weeks ins do astound me somewhat. Best of luck to Dom hope he gets the job on McRae.

You obviously didn't see Nicholsons game on the ABC last week.

This thread is the kind of laugh out loud funny I needed after a hard day at work. I know it wasn't intended anyway but thanks nonetheless to those that contributed to this comedy.

Mids who can run hard and execute please. -
Post Match Discussion - Round 14
Lil_red_fire_engine replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
They went lower at the contest, they ran harder and faster both ways and executed skills better. The only positives were Vince's form and that last year that would have been an 80+ point loss. Now 40 point losses are annoying rather than an acceptance of an ok performance. -
Casey Scorpions v Box Hill Hawks

It was the previous recruiting regime. Not blaming Neeld for that one. -
Jesse Hogan ~ new 2 year deal
Lil_red_fire_engine replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
I am not saying I want Frawley gone however I was more concerned about Dunn and T-Mac signing than him. If anyone was going to leave its at least a player in the one area of the ground we have good coverage. The compensation we should receive should give us a first round that may give us the bait we need to land a quality mid (trade not draft) which is of more importance. -
Casey Scorpions v Box Hill Hawks
Lil_red_fire_engine replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Panozza aside the non MFC listed players for Casey are no more than witches hats. Michie and Toumpas OK but no one banging down the door. Strauss and Tapscott are very limited footballers. Nicholson is not a footballer. Blease started ok but just looked for cheap kicks most of the game. Still plenty of deadwood to clear out, most of it to cleanse us of some of the appalling drafting decisions made by the previous regime. -
Jesse Hogan ~ new 2 year deal
Lil_red_fire_engine replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
Great news. 3 more years in Melbourne and a team that should be well on the up and there would be very little chance he wont stay going forward. Now lets get it official, double it with T-Mac and we can then plan our attack on our list gaps at the end of the year* *My gut says Frawley is gone and if not already a done deal him leaving may be a win for both parties. -
I would expect no changes, however we should not discount why we were in that position at half time. I think we needed an extra runner and I dont think Riley works as a forward. I would look at Riley out for one of Toumpas, Michie or JKH.

When a team kick as many points as Essendon and he continually plays on from the kick out. -

Great balance of attack and defence in the second half. Great character building win. Where the hell was that run in the first half? Aside from Viney no mid ran to space in the first half. Forwards continually ran to the same spots. Players missed kicks that should be routine. We should have been 10 goals down and the mood on here would be very different. McKenzie and Riley were liabilities in the first half but once Salem came on and McKenzie started actually trying to get the ball when it was there to be won we looked much better. -

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 12
Lil_red_fire_engine replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I watch alot of Essendon games due to my wife being a supporter. Take out the fact that Watson is out and the impact of the notices, their form has been poor for 2 months. These are the games we need to start winning without excuse. -
Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 12
Lil_red_fire_engine replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Being McKenzie, Kent, Riley and Salem are not in the Casey team and others on the extended bench are that may tell us what to expect. -
Tommy Mac, the elusive footballer.
Lil_red_fire_engine replied to pitchfork's topic in Melbourne Demons
Whilst Tommy looks awkward at times he rarely gets goals kicked on him. I think he is a player who we forget his age and focus more on what he can't do than what he can do. -
We cannot play that tall forward line again. No disrespect to Gawn who was serviceable around the ground but he offered nothing forward and had limited impact in the centre. Salem needs a full game. I think we have enough inside grunt we need some outside run and ball use. In: Kent, Toumpas Out: Gawn, Salem

Post Match Discussion - Round 12
Lil_red_fire_engine replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Our defensive game was strong again but unlike recent weeks we lacked skill, composure and confidence going forward of centre. We need two players off half back who have speed and skill. Those who suggest our performance was atrocious have forgotten how far we have come in 12 months. If you want open football without defensive intent I suggest watch Richmond. -
