he is being very patient...u can see small patches of his run and carry "game plan" working...not so much today...but he is carefully developing the young players patiently into players that can execute what he wants...we will not get any success in the coming weeks and it is annoying but stand by him for the three years that he is under contract

We are getting smashed. On the upside we are getting to see what some of the lesser known players are capable of. I think Bails need another season to before we pass judgement.

If the hawks had booted clarkson a few years back, they would not be where they are today.

I am not saying he is doing a fine job, I am just saying this season is a write off, we need to see what he can do with this list next year.

Wheatley should keep doing 80m kick ins everytime, load up the centre square with talls every kick in and bobs your uncle, we won't be as [censored].

The problem is we do not have the cattle to p[lay that style, play a more simple style with some parts of the new game plan, trying to change it in one hit is why we are so crap right now.

This was my argument. He didnt get rid of all the deadwood therefore, he must play a game plan to suit the cattle he has.

i do think daniher was better at making something happen from the cattle he had

but in terms of development and looking into the future and giving our club a real chance of premiership success, i think bailey has the patience to maybe be the man

Caroline Wilson said that Harwick presented to the selection panel that he didn't rate many of the current list, and the club could expect a period on the bottom while rebuilding.

Wonder if Bailey was as candid?

Memo Dean Bailey - if you want to change a game plan that's fine - but it needs to be an evolution not a revolution.

The players can't change the way the play overnight - Paul Roos took three years to get the game plan he wanted in and working.

In the meantime, he made sure that his players were competitive and accountable, even if they couldn't do exactly what he wanted and he evolved his team and his game plan over the three years to win a premiership.

You are destroying the players's confidence, and I doubt that you have earned their respect as yet. I mean you have LOST 4 pre-season games and 6 home and away games.

Get them at least competitive and accountable through man on man football - at least give the members and supporters something

I don't mind how we go this year.

I thought we were vastly over-rated in '06, and our next Premiership tilt wouldn't come until the '06 youngsters were more mature and experienced.

This year's been expected, although I did think/hope that we'd be more competitive (:D) than we have been.

Absolutely correct - with the players he has at his disposal there is NO excuse for being thrashed week in week out by these margins - we have won 3 quarters for the year and have a % of 50 for god's sake ! I have not seen one hint of a sustainable game plan - how about some accountability...from everyone, including the coach

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
