Im with ya on that Nasher. gets me why they dont do things like that. Also it would disrupt the rotations of the opposition.. Bit harder to do a [censored] for tat rotation when one is still on the field.

Nowadays their opponent would have too much of an advantage.

Resting rover = tired

Specialist half back/back pocket = fast and willing to run

Look at those names.

They were all voted into the leadership group ahead of Green.

No wonder our club is a laughing stock.

Word from my sources at the club is that Green is very, very shy and introverted, hence why he was not voted into the leadership group - he doesn't stand out enough ahead of players like Robbo who you could imagine would be a fairly chatty, outgoing character.

It's a shame because I'm really starting to like Green (didn't use to), and were he a little bit more outgoing, he could be an outstanding leader for the club.

If he's prepared to fight & scrap with opponents for the pill like he started to do on Saturday, then I'm OK with him being forward.

I have always been a fan of Greens, and I was happy to see the way he played on the weekend........

His consistency has let him (and us) down over the years, but I have always preferred him play a hell of a lot more forward than he has done in recent years.

He is (or at least was) a great set shot for goal (and yes I am saying that despite a couple of shanks Sunday).

I understand and appreciate the argument that he may go stale if left in the forward pocket permanently, but as has been said up thread there is nothing to say he can't rotate through the midfield and up to the forward flanks and maybe into full forward if needed to make match ups and defence that bit more difficult.

His courage is perpetually underrated, and is a great kick of goal and can take a good grab. I definitely would like to see him up forward much more often.

I'm a big fan of Green spending solid stretches of time in the forward line. I can see a future where Bate, Green, Morton, Davey, and hopefully Sylvia, are all rotating through the forward line causing match-up hell.

We really should be aiming for a (dare I say it) Geelong -style forward line with numerous players capable of kicking three or four a game, but working their way into the rest of the play as well.

Did anyone notice that last year Geelong didn't have a single player, in any game, kick more than five goals, even when they had a scoring frenzy?
