Yeah. What a great way to start the new footy year.

Also noticed how good the Crows are. Even when they're in a lull they're dangerous opposition. The old hatred still applies of course, but in the last few years I can't help but respect that club, and its players. Yes they have money, but still...

And hey, one of their rejects has come in and is now one of our better performers on the track, fitness wise at least.

Yeah and Andy Roddick is going to win the Aus Open.

Exhibitions will always mean nothing.

And Collingwood have an admirable record interstate anyway.

After watching Collingw&%$ fluff up in Dubai, it's no wonder they must play almost all of their games at home.

It doesn't matter what time of year, or where it is played, there is something beautiful about a scoreline which has Collingwood stitched up big time.

Great start to the year, now all we need is a win and we're away!

After seeing the first half of the Dubai game, I rate Melbourne a little higher...

Meanwhile, anyone else catch the 1976 grand final on ABC 2?

I know it's totally unfair given the changes, salaries, support staff, interchange, you name it... but holy hell, if people played that loose and static these days they'd be lynched by angry fans! And when a guy got flattened the first thing the trainers did when they got to him has PICK HIM UP. It's a miracle the trainers back then didn't send a dozen extra players a year to hospital.

I enjoyed the start to the season and yes, it is only pre-season but good to see the following: -

1. no matter what number Leon davis wears, he still cannot get a kick

2. anthony rocca's retirement will not affect the forward line - he has retired hasn't he because they mentioned that he was playing but wherever the ball went, he wasn't

3. nick maxwell being appointed as collingwood captaon would rival kane johnson as the worst captain in the afl

4. nathan buckley although incisive, is pretty biased when calling... look forward to him this year though

5. the pies were fatigued from living away from home for three weeks - tears!!

6. now they have to play in albany - surely mirthful knew this before they played!!

great way to start the year!!

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

    Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50.     A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.     Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders.     Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9.
