Rating is out of 10

How do you think went all things considered (ie, talent drafted, needs filled, x-factor) ?

Well, my poll didnt work, even thought I did everything right

God damn it

Ill answer it the old fashioned way..lol

id rate it about an 8 of 10. really nothing to pick at...however I personally am still a tad concerned about the backline. We seem to have a gathering of sorts of 2nd and 3rd defenders.. but no real FB. !!! Some will say MacNamara might be this is the future.. So if I had any qualms about the Mfc result its that; ..otherwise kudos to CAC, , Connolly and the whole recruiting team.. a very good result.

in old language id give them an "A"

I'd give us a 10

I'd give Adelaide a 3. Their staff can't even get the numbers right. Bastards trying to steal Grimes

Before game played i'll give the draft an 8.5 out of 10

but wait a year or two before we see the real talent and a proper rating

I'll give a rating in 3 years time....seriously though how can we possibly make a judgement before any of them have played a game?

Agree. Although MFC seem to have chosen wisely according to comments in the press.

If you're going to ask a question like that, I guess you can only really mark the recruiters based on what was on offer in the draft, and what they passed on compared to what they took...

In that sense, I'm thrilled... would be maybe a 9/10.

- I was hoping firstly that we wouldn't take a lesser tall man just because we were desperate. We all know why that is, but I just felt like none of those players looked like they were going to solve our problems. We don't need all that many tall forwards... We need GOOD key defenders, but we actually have plenty of tall timber down there. The LAST thing we needed was more mediocrity to go with the Warnock/Holland/Miller types... Let's say for a minute that McEvoy had slipped to 14 and we took him, we would have had another slow ruckman to go with Jamar, but worst of all we would have missed out on Grimes...

- Looking at the first 21 picks in order, we missed out on Cotchin and Kreuzer because we weren't the worst team in 2007. We missed out on pick 3 because of the priority rule... In the end we picked at 4 the player we would have taken at 3... so as far as that's concerned I'm thrilled.

- I was hoping for Vezspremi or Rioli at 14, but they were taken before that. Nothing we can do about that. The players taken after Grimes were considered to be surprise early selections... Personally I didn't want ANY of the players after Grimes to be selected in his place... So that's another tick there for CAC.

- Maric at 21 has some VERY good wraps for a kid taken that late. He is sort of a career FP, which limits him, but that kind of kick is solid gold... But most importantly, the players taken between 14 and 21 are pretty damn boring as far as I'm concerned. I think if we had pick 15, Maric would have been a good selection there as well! Then when you consider the players taken AFTER 21, the list thins out directly after Maric...

So in the end, those all-important 3 picks were just about as good as I could have hoped for given the depth this year..

Hence, 9/10.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
