Judd not coming to Melbourne

Featured Replies

I feel like Jennifer Hawkins just dumped me.

Well, you've got some big tickets on yourself Juddy and you're a tad precious.

Get farked.

Watching judd run out in a filth jumper is going to kill me, lets hope that on qb next year we smash them and our players roughen judd up

He is now our enemy. Join us or die. I hope his career spirals if he chooses Collingwood, and yes, I mean that. He's gone from WC Eagles to the East Coast Magpies; they are the equivilent of the off-field turmoils for Melbourne.

Everyone remove Judd from their avatars, I don't want to see his face for a while.

thank god hes not coming to melbourne. very happy

I am now officially over it.....

It leaves us with Pick 4 which is extremely good.....

Our new coach has obviously got the place buzzing....

When fit, we have a list that can defeat anyone on it's day....

And without Judd, we can go into the 2008 season under the radar..... The expectation on us in 2008 if we had him would've been unbelievable!

Work 'em like dogs Bailey!!!!!

Mediocrity is no longer in their voacabulary!!!!

whre is he going then?

Where ever the money is. I've maintained from the start he was about the money and luxury. I think he'll go to whoever gives him the best salary.

I will take great pleasure in jeering him onto the ground next year.

to say because of our facilties is [censored] week!!! since when is it about facilities!! the only chance he got to play for his beloved team he supported just went down the drain!! he will never get the chance to play for us!!

im off to clean my sniper rifle....

Not that I care but my money is on Carlton to get him.

If we aren't good enough for him then we don't want him, not happy with the facilities, wow typical spoilt footballer.

Collingwood have proved that the best facilities don't make you a good team.

im estatic he is not coming to melbourne. The loss of pettard and or frawley and round 4 pick was too much for another OP sufferer.

Obviously we were not that beloved.....

Love our positive negetivity. It's a negetive he isn't coming, but pick 4 and some great youngster, we aren't dead in the water, but expect next season to be.

Indeed. Clearly has bought into his own hype.

Facilities don't make you successful. How many premierships have the Pies won since they built the Lexus Centre?

For me it was more the fact that just for once we - rather than the monsters like Collingwood - would attract a superstar. If it was ever about his kid team he would have come to us even if we were training in the dirt - obviously it was never about loyalty or anything like that.

And I hope when they say that he was 'impressed' with our strategies that doesnt mean he'll pass them all on to Collingwood when Eddie drives him in the Limo to the Lexus...

Sad, sad day, but Judd might yet turn out to be another Acker - and thank god we didnt get him in hindsight. But the big teams win again. Eddie gets what he wants...

Still strange things can happen in trade week.

The question is where now? I heard (should I bother listening to anyone after all this hype?) that he was no impressed with Essendon. Carlton has poor facilities - its the pies for mine. And I saw him in their uniform in my mind from the start to be honest. WHy bother stringing us along?

Collingwood/ Carlton will have to high of expectations that he won't be able to meet. Remember he won't have Kerr and Cousins sharing the ball with him. He's another Woewodin case waiting to happen all over again. Good Luck top him but Collingwood will have a poor list after 2008 when rocca, burns, buckley, presti, wakelin are phucked. And Carlton which has has past drug culture at the club and probably still has. Maybe he thinks he'll get it easier at Collingwood/Carlton, he would have been under way less pressure if he went to Melbourne

Oh FFS people get over yourselves..

its just one player...not the Mesiah..just a norty boy who has his own agenda.. HIS.. he's entitled to it.

one player was never going to be the be all and end all of the Demons. Nice if he came.. not end of world if he doesnt.

He's going elsewhere... where ? doesnt really matter... He will simply be part of an oppsition team. !! On any given day there's 22 of them.. so what !!

I have my views on other aspects..and might go into them another time.. but in the great washup...as Ned said..Such is life..

now all move along...nothing to see here !! ( not anymore...lol )

Im funnily relieved..

Perfectly put.

Oh FFS people get over yourselves..

We aren't angry over the fact he didn't choose us. It is the parting insult that is infuriating. Shows him to be a money hungry, attention seeking princess.

"However the club's training facilities at Junction Oval and the need to train at a variety of grounds over summer was an issue."

Life is tough sometimes...

I guess he cant afford a car

What a [censored]

Champions arnt made in the gym or in some million dollar rehab place... champions are made thru hard work, desire and a big heart!!! It seems too me that chris Judd has degraded our our club... In my eyes David Neitz will always be a far greater champion than u Chrisy judd... On the terms of our changerooms and gym, thats the MFC`s fault... Were the oldest club in history with the poorest place too train.. Keep Tj and our pick 4 and move on..

PS.... Channel 7 are on some serious drugs with last night report!!!

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
