Fox News reports Demons are red hot favorites for Judd

I don't know if Mickrocks and Jaded are related but their defeatist attitude makes me sick.

Let's not get our hopes high so the disappointment won't hurt as much. What bull.

It's WEAK. I don't know how u get out of bed.

Nope, not related, but probably just used to being disappointed when it comes to the MFC.

So, anymore exciting straws for us to clutch at this morning?

Take it for what it's worth Jaded (I know your disregard for SEN) but Greg Denham said on KB's show that the Bombers were pretty much out and that he thought the Pies couldn't do a deal (mainly because no one else would trade with them). He said Carlton were favourites but the Demons are still in it and really believe they are in with a chance. Denham is a bit of a tool, but there you go!

But what I would like to know is where is Chilliboy in all of this? This will be the biggest deal since RDB in 64.

Biffinator

i wonder where he is ?

could at least come up with some news right or wrong

I can't see why he would choose Carlton. Beyond Pratt's money, I can't see what they've got to offer that will appeal to him.

Carlton kind of remind me of the spoilt, fat, dumb rich kid in a school class. Doesn't learn anything, bullies everyone, spends his entire time at home playing playstation games all day and acts like a total ass, but gets by in life because Daddy has lots of money. Their solution to every and any problem is to just toss money at it. It makes me sick.

I agree. There was an article recently about how clubs just do have cultures and personalities. St Kilda's is built on having figureheads/"legends", Carlton's solution is always to throw cash, Collingwood is "us against them".... I don't want to get into what ours is:)

Is ?? or was ??? :)

I think its going to be a very different Melbourne jumping out of the blocks come 2008. very different !!

On Sen, Mark Doran said that the big whisper is that he will sign with Melbourne and he said its getting stronger each hour and is coming from good sources.

Also said Judd's manager is meeting him today for the first time since his op.

Good. Two days of good rumours is good. Don't give up yet Jaded :P

This is starting to drive me balmy, and worse is that I know we won't hear a dicky bird from the Juddernaught's mouth until Monday or Tuesday.

Well this is all nice to hear.....

Definately will be listening for the good oil sports update around 10 past 2.

Still not getting my hopes up. I just can't mentally handle him not signing with us if I get so hyped that he will sign with us.

Who was it that spilt his pants the other day? I think I know what he was talking about now.

The only decent source I have, still has Collingwood ahead of Melbourne.

This is a source that actually has come good plenty of times before, so I will choose to go with that over the crap they broadcast on SEN.

:)

Even if we don't land Judd, we would still have some good picks in the draft (we should still try and off-load Robbo to the dogs for their #5 pick), hell if it were me, i'd try and get another good pick after that as well (i don't think our senior group of players will win us a flag, better to face that reality now than in another 3 years time).

At least we would have some quality kids coming into our group of youngsters, further strengthening our list for an assault when they start to get more experience.

I'm with you on that...we have lots of tradeable players

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
