CASEY: Practice Match vs Richmond

Already can see Casey has lost a lot of experience as a core group. Not sure apart from Bonner about their core leadership in 2026. Lots of youngsters getting a run which is what should happen and see what they show. Guys like Cross are showing that they’re getting close to an AFL list.

What’s going on with the umpiring? That’s about 4 in a row very soft frees to the Tigers. Looks like you can’t take a mark from behind without giving away a free for in the back or something.

I assume Gawny is not prepared to share ruck duties (again) if Heath is playing in this game. Shame. I thought King might want to use 2 rucks against TDK and Marshall but I guess Gawny has the final say on that

Where are the best of the Casey players? Riley Bonner and Paddy Cross are missing today and also the young NGA Tairon Ah Mu who impressed a fortnight ago with his strong marking up forward. Miller Bergmann? I was also expecting some more MFC players like Jed Adams and Riley Onley. A couple of others wouldn’t be far from returṉing.

Notwithstanding, there were too many players out there who committed basic skill errors like dropping simple marks, fumbles, some poor disposals and decision making. There’s still time for extra recruiting if they want to avoid another season like 2024.

Not sure why you think that. Saints game is 2 weeks away. Kentfield would have been 2nd ruck yesterday but injured in first 2 mins.

And if this is so, then that is diabolically selfish, Heath must play round 1 surely!

I’ve been watching for 25 minutes and we just received our first free. Two in the back decisions by a specific umpire have been atrocious!

Even the Richmond commentators are bewildered. They actually sound embarrassed

Taylor’s disposal hasn’t been overly convincing missing short kicks

Don't you normally go in to the last praccy match with your Round 1 team (those fit and available)?
