Train On Prospects

Featured Replies

Who would be the best options we could look at as very late additions to the list? Or what positions could use the most strengthening?

With the ongoing situation as well as TC's very serious neck injury (what is there to gain from him becoming available at the bye when he's clearly third choice) we could go from no spots to 2 and therefore 0 train on spots to 4 quite quickly.

Last year we didnt go like for like and replaced a HB with a tall mid and a lead up fwd for a higher connecting fwd

my thoughts stem around other injuries we have at the moment with Bowey, Salem and AMW all spending significant time with the rehab group that small defender role is suddenly a really weak and exposed line of the field and this could be a cheap way to bolster it

for me id look at a young ruck

- Flynn Riley - Blues VFL

- Krasnadamskus if his trial at RFC ends

and rebounding defenders either readymade

-Seamus Mitchell (Haw)

-Miller Bergman (NM now casey)

- Jackson Voss (Frankston VFL)

or overlooked types

-Aaron Sharkie

-Harrison Bridge (BL Acad.)

or maybe a natural wingman

- Jaxon Binns (Carl now Ess VFL)

- Luamon Lual (Ess now Casey)

or do we go another tall

-Derksen?

interested to hear any other names maybe sanfl or wafl shouts i havent considered too who could be deserving of a late chance

I read recently the MFC list is one of thr oldest in the AFL. On this basis, I would look at the clubโ€™s two NGA players Toby Sinnema and Tairon Ah Mu.

Paddy Cross comes to mind. Pies pipped us on Roan Steele. Who immediately lost his matinee idol looks with the beagle boys lobotomy cut. But Uncle Jack has stepped in.

Would watch the names Jos Landy or Brodie Atkinson if an official list spot opens up.

Both were stiff not to get picked up in thr draft imo.

Jos Landy in particular reminds me so much of Rory Sloane in terms of playing style and even in the way he looks. 179cm inside mid who just throws himself at every contests.

Was very close to being picked up by us in the draft. Certain ways he absolutely wouldโ€™ve been. Donโ€™t be surprised :)

I would love for us to have a go at Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves. Was pretty high in some of the mock drafts last year. Classy with a lot of upside. I think he is playing in WA

I thought his highlights looked really tidy with plenty of upside but that's exactly what they are - highlights. There must be some serious flaws in his game to have that much talent and not get drafted, rookied or SSP'ed.

I assume you mean 2025 Morrish Medal winner from Gippsland Brodie Atkins and not the 1997 Margarey medalist Brodie Atkinson.

Have to imagine our new development coach will be pushing for more of his former guys. Although I see Brodie has signed with Sandringham.

Landy appears to be training with Collingwood, filling in with the main squad as a VFL candidate. Heโ€™s impressing their training superfans.
