PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 21st January 2026

Featured Replies

Training at Gosch’s starts at 9:30am today.

I’ll only be there for half an hour or so. Why is that, I don’t hear you ask 🙃 Well, that’d be because at 10:15 I’ll be going with other DA members to the ‘G to film a Fox promo 🥳 But wait, there’s more! Afterwards, we’re filming a separate ad which will see us in a boat cruising down the Yarra. When we spot Kozzie running along the banks we will all go nuts, waving scarves and flags etc. In another scene Steven King is waiting for the lift, the doors open and the lift is full of Dees fans. Sounds cringe, right? That’s because it is 😅 but these ads usually are. Anyways, look out for me when it airs; I’ll be the one in red & blue. (Yep, that cheer squad joke will NEVER get old.)

PS: @Roost it far my apologies in advance for not furnishing a training report today 😭

Feel free to say hello, green lululemon shirt and the giant bike, 1st preseason I’ve watched since Daniel Cross was running around.

If anyone is wondering who the new boy is out there, a boy who looks a lot like Kingy, that’s Oscar King, son of Steven. He’s here to “have a kick with the boys.” He’s 16yo and already a tall boy.

Present:

May, JVR, Salem, Langford, Lindsey, Windsor, Viney (red jumper but in rehab ) Lever, Steele, Turner, Gawn, Tholstrup, Culley, CJ, Langdon, Laurie, Melksham (blue rehab gear), Taylor, Matthews, Jefferson, Howes, McAdam, TMac, Adams, Heath, Mihocek, Campbell (neck brace), Sharp, Fritsch, Sparrow, Pickett, White, Pickett, Chandler, Berry, Mentha, Onley, Johnson, Henderson, Kentfield, AMW.

Kolt warming up with snaps and it’s going going great to put it lightly

He really need to slow it down and work on his ball drop

McAdam is in attendance..

  • Recovery atm: Viney, Hendo, Checkers, McAdam & Melky doing handballs with Jonesy

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
