Agree Sydee Latrelle has consistently shown that he has serious weapons, just needs to continue to build stamina and strength he is 180cm and has a more mature body than Kozzie had in his first year.

Tommy Mathews comes with huge wraps, he was the captain of Gippsland Power, however his PCL injury held him back, I think JT mentioned that they were surprised that he was still available at our 3rd pick. He is the same height as Kozzie (172cm) but has very strong legs and larger body type, Iโ€™m picking him as this years Smokey if he can get his knee right.

Ricky Mentha is showing that he has some X factor but needs to perform well at Casey to get a call up. Shane McAdam could be a lock if his body holds up, he has great skills as shown at Crows but he canโ€™t stay on the park. And we have Kozzie ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸand Kade Chandler ๐ŸŒŸ already performing at a high level.

If we are to compete seriously in the midfield this season Kozzy needs to play primarily as a mid imo. That means we need to find another electric small forward that not only kicks goals but also provides serious defensive pressure to fill the gap he leaves inside F50.

Our forward structure is likely to be quite different this year there are a number of tallish contenders, and none are a lock at this point from what I'm seeing/reading. Competition for a spot hopefully drives someone surprising us all.

GW ignores CFOT's.

This coming Wednesday and the following Wednesday I wonโ€™t be able to attend training. Just letting you and the other sadsack members of the CFOTs in advance so as you donโ€™t publicly portray me as a biatttch ๐Ÿ˜

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demonsโ€™ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.
