There's a guy on YouTube that loves this stuff (and would likely purchase). Posters have linked it before but idk!

May be hard but it'd be cool if this stuff were on YouTube.

I have a tonne of games on VHS, DVD and hard drive after starting collecting/trading with others about 15 years ago. There's a group of pretty avid collectors that have heaps of stuff not on YouTube dating back to the early days of TV.

I'm gonna try and start uploading to my YouTube channel shortly, will update here when I do.

Would love to see a home video debaucherous day at the footy in the 80s with the Dr himself!

Darren Bennet

That was a heart breaking loss.

Steven Clark had to kick a goal from 50+ metres out after the siren to draw the game with 5,000 Essendon supporters on the mark.

Darren Bennett kicked 1 goal that day.

Yep although I'm wondering if he means 1990, "Darren Bennett used Van der Haar like a stepladder"

Some of those suburban grounds would've definitely given the Kentucky Derby a run in the decadence and depravity stakes 🤣

Was that the day Joe Rugolo bagged 4?

I think he meant 1990 too.

I was being a bit disingenuous.

No sorry to say, I don't think MFC were chosen for many of the televised games back then 😞

Most of my stuff is from 1987 onwards though I do have a bit of early 80s stuff as well.

My first and only game at Windy Hill. I remember we parked on Pascoe Vale Road and walked what felt like 20km for little old 5 year old me. I dont remenber the outcome of the match but I remember my dad and uncles going absolutely ballistic angry at one point. I think potentially that final kick.

Anyway when we got back to the car my dad's Pajero had been broken into and his Aviator Raybans and pager were stolen lol

I feel like someone shared a youtube clip of this game within the last year. Or maybe 1990.

It reminded me of DB's fluid set shot stance and how nobody kicks like that now.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.

From the outset, the Casey Demons lacked any spring in their steps. They were out-hustled and out-bustled and finally outplayed by the Brisbane Lions by 38 points on their home turf in perfect conditions at Casey Fields.
