yes his kicking in general play seems more polished than his goal kicking routine.

He’s also a pretty good one grab mark going by the highlights.

When I would think the professionals should know all the players in the draft and have their own rankings.

If we think he's worth 8 then take him at that.

You don't miss a good player because he didn't rank that high in the phantoms.

Jackson was a prime point, even a lot of the pros thought we over reached there...but I think the proof was in the premiership with that one.

Holmes at 20 was probably the pick of that draft or close to it.

We would have no problem using pick 7 or 8 on him now.

If we want him we may well have to cough up to get him. We're not picking him because of what he is, but because of what he could become.

to me, no. leray is the same size, good overhead and a nice kick

but maybe it was nairns two week block at the back end in the guts that is what we really liked, so they could u go cumming and nairn? probably not when u already have tholstrup idk much to weigh up

King wants someone who will kick goals - not just another midfielder that "bombs it in" or even kicks it in well. Who beyond Pick 11/12 fits that cateogory? Nairn it will be.

Of course. Most posters here have a lot of faith in JT and we are always just waiting to see what he will do knowing its the job he is paid to do.

You have to remember that the draft period used to be the greatest day of the year for a lot of Demon fans as we had very little to cheer about for a decade. We are conditioned to scouring the draft boards and picking our favorites. We enjoy casting judgement on 3min videos of one or two games. Its all meaningless fun.

All our conversations wont change anything and in JT was trust.

I think Nairn's kicking is pretty ordinary, both set shots and field kicking. Looks a bit like Marty Hore's action, only not as good. If he's a bottom ager, there still significant development he can do on an AFL list in that area. His strengths are that he gets the ball a bit in the right spots, he's a good mark for his size, is clever around the contest and can kick a goal or two. To me theres a bit of a project player about him, but is that worth pick 7 or 8?

And I dont think we've mentioned Emma Quayle at GWS enough of late 😎

I reckon it’s like Miers from Geelong, you’re never going to ‘fix’ that type of kicking action as it’s so natural to him, much like the buddy arc and the Josh Kennedy stutter. You work with what you’ve got.

But I wouldn’t be using a first round pick in him, even in this draft,
